#Stuck at accepting anonymous player data screen

yeah i have the same thing, i thought it was due to a blue screen i had, did anything like that happen to you ?
I didn't have a blue screen, it closed normally. I was playing co-op with remote play the last time it worked. The next time I tried to play it, I got that screen that wouldn't let me do anything. I'm assuming it has to do with an update, or the remote play.

All you gotta do is go to appdata > loccallow and then DELETE the playstack folder
so i delete the entire folder right ?

before you do it, check if the ONLY thing in the folder is the "ak-xolotl" folder

i started the game from the exe directly in the folder and it worked for some reason

That didn't work for me either. I tried to use something other than my keyboard ,and it recognizes the change by changing the options to the controller, and still refuses to work

It has let me accept once. I played for a bit and when I quit the game, it got stuck on a black screen and wouldn't fully close. This was before the update. Every time I've tried since it has had the same error, even after the most recent update.
Verifying Game Files on steam or reinstalling the game in the case a local game file stopped working?
Verifying Game Files on steam didnt work. I then completely deleted the game and reinstalled the game it let me accept and play. I then quit by going to main menu then clicking quit. the game then black screens and never fully closes. it just stays on the black screen until I stop the game on steam. The next time I start the game I'm stuck back on the same accept screen I was before.
That's funny, i have the same problem and I'm in the exact same situation, i managed to play once and then black screen
I figured out a way around the accept screen. In my case whenever I start the game and the screen pops up, it states out in window screen but if I wait until is changes to a borderless screen if I hit E it accepts. You're able to play the game but the second you try to quit its back to the black screen, and your back at square one with zero game progress. On my black screen if I run the curser across where the main menu buttons are it still makes the sound as if they where still there. Also when I start the game its showing PlayStation layout accept buttons, and no PlayStation controller has been connected to my pc.

I think a way to make it save the game when you go to the main menu, would at least make it playable. Right now I lose all progress everytime I try to quit. I can deal with the extra wait to play, as long as I'm making progress.

In my case the game boots
Up not in full-screen it gets to the accept screen. If I wait at the accept screen for a couple minutes it switches to what I assume is borderless. After that happens I'm able to accept using E. I can play the game normally, but when I go back to main menu and quit, the game goes to a black screen and the game doesn't close. When I'm still on the black screen if I move my cursor over the pervious location of the menu options it still make the noise they would make if I never clicked quit. My only option to close the game is either by going to steam and stopping the game or by opening task manager and ending the task. This makes me lose all progress in the game because it doesn't save. I'm no computer wiz but I feel like an option to save and quit could fix the issue.

One more question @grizzled iron @ruby spindle did you experience a game crash before this issue started to happen? OR did you do alt f4 the game while moving between scenes?
I did experience a blue screen before it happened so i assume it counts as a crash
I do not believe i had a crash it's been a while since the first instance.
Here are two videos the shorter one is showing the first attempt I tried. The longer video is showing how sometimes when it doesn't load in full screen I can get it to work, but I still have the problem of it not closing properly and losing all of my progress. Both issues continue to happen even though videos may be from an older version.
It will also sometimes show a mix of controller and keyboard inputs.
can you go look in AppData\LocalLow\Playstack\AK-xolotl\SaveFiles if you have the "AKSettingSlot" folder pls ?
I finally figured out how to find the player log.
I have it
well, the way i fixed my game was by deactivating steam cloud sync and deleting AKSettingSlotSync and launching the game
but i didn't have the AKSettingSlot in my folder
you could try the same thing and see if it does anything
that worked for me i deleted the save file itself and it works now.

This is a step by step for solve this issue:
- Make a backup of your saves in a separate folder (and place it on the desktop or somewhere you can find it later)
The saves are located in the Savefiles folder on C:\Users\UserName\AppData\LocalLow\Playstack\AK-xolotl/
- Boot the game with Steam Cloud enabled.
- Delete all corrupted files when the game is still running.
Usually are this folders the ones causing problems:
AppData\LocalLow\Playstack\AK-xolotl\SaveFiles\AKSettingSlot
AppData\LocalLow\Playstack\AK-xolotl\SaveFiles\AKSettingSlotSync
- Close the game (Force close by Task Manager, Steam Close or Alt+F4 if necessary) and wait for the Cloud sync finish.
- Steam Cloud should no longer have the corrupted files.
- Continue the game.
If the problem persists, repeat try deleting the whole SaveFiles Folder on Step 3 (thats why you need the backup safe just in case.
