✅ - Talentcell Battery Pack no charge through USB-A cable

Hello All, sorry for probably the dumb question, I am very new to all things electronics. I purchased the #talentcell battery pack and have cut open a usb charger cable to expose the 2 cables. When I connect the USB A plug to the pack and touch the 2 cables against the positive and negative of a led eye connector I get nothing. I then tested the eye connect against a 9V battery which worked fine which makes me believe I am doing something wrong with the battery pack or the cut up USB cable? Appreciate any guidance.

those LED eyes for ironman faceplates etc are usualy are sold with a CR2032 or AAA batery holder, and thus work on 3 V so if you wanr to use a batterypack that has 5V out, you have to use a 5V to 3V step down convertor. if you apply 5V you are using 66% higher voltage which will break them.

also a LED is a diode, a 1 way street for electric current. connect it in 1 direction and it lights up, reverse the polarity, and it blocks the current, so it acts like a switch, to high Current (normaly 20mA) or Voltage and they burn out.
