Hi everyone, I'm trying to print TPU on my Creality K1Max, and I've modified the machine in all the ways i could find online in order to make it work.
I'm trying to use TPU to print the joint pieces for my ironman cosplay armor and i haven't been able to get a successful print. would anyone be willing to help me?

You need to print really slow. 60mm/s is pushing it but can sometimes work on higher end machines like Bambu. 40 is better.

First layer you need like 30

Supports need a more stable pattern like honeycomb or grid or they will fall over and wont support.

Z height from supports needs to be increases or you will have to cut the supports off with a razer. 0.4 usually works but will still need some help in certain areas with a razer blade.

If you want rubber like feel, print solid infill

If you want tons of squish print 20% infill gyroid.

You need to

Also this stuff is seriously difficult to post process. It will not sand at all no matter how hard you try.

You need to use a flexible primer like water based acrylic or high build urethane or latex. Laquer or enamel based primers will often crack when you flex it. This applies for every layer of paint too. Montana gold works pretty good but most spray cans will crack.

Don't even attempt to use bondo. It will crack.

I have heard but not tested that some smoothing can be done with a careful hand and a blowtorch if you print at solid infill. I tried with 25% infill and that does not work.
