Hi I am having a problem with opening my iron man mask. I explain more in my video.
Voltage or because you have more or less the same issue just for the head not on the chin. https://discord.com/channels/716774093285752962/1201663856338796584
From your video it lookslike the left servo starts moving like .3 sec sooner.
I don't see any helper arms on the faceplate. Did you install them ?
From the video it does not look like you have the necessary helper arms, which are used to guide / keep the faceplate in the correct alignment as it opens & closes.
I have the helper arms installed, they are lose but not too lose. I have tried tightening and loosening them a lot
And dimensional ? Like are the in the desired length
Take a look at the document I attached, it has information on setting up the arms. You may not have them in the correct spot. Normally when they are in the right spot you can see them with the helmet open.
The issue is with the helper arms.
Do they bind up or as i guessed fold in the wrong direction
They mask used to work perfectly than I tried to put it on, then it stopped working. Also I already soldered the helper arms into place.
It not that you could check and disproof your suggestion by filming the mechanism
Maybe one day there will be a thing that can do that.
Also that the helper arms are already glued in doesnt matter. If we see the mechanism i bet someone here can point you in the right direction.
Hmmm
I meant in motion but thats good too. Since i dont have the files / instructions etc. I have to guess. So my guess is that on other helmets the helper arms had one end with a slot not just a hole. Might be wrong though
Ok thanks for your help. If you need any more photos or videos just ask.
Hi everyone, thank you so much for all the insight here, very helpful! I am making good progress. I am grateful for this Discord channel and look forward to working with all of you now and down the road.
So what did you change.
I took out the helper arms and the face plate mover and am now replacing them in the correct position.
Glad it works. I aint gonna say it. But i was not far off
Did you try a bit more power to the motors?
Maybe give the closing more steps. ๐ not thr best solution but might work
how do I do that
When you Programm the code there is either a time or a amount of steps for each movement
It worked for a little bit, it was running perfactly. Then when I want to test it the next day it didn't work and I was having the same problem. What should I do.
do you know what could be wrong
Maybe to tight tolerances and something binds up
try heat sinks ...make arms a bit longer seems to self center once together...
I always wonderd if a printed tool that showes you exactly where to place the arms screws etc would be usefull.
