It's my understanding that PETG can stick too well to glass beds. I have the CR10 V3 stock glass bed with the black texture coating on it. What do I need to do to prevent the PETG from sticking so much it destroys my glass bed? I've heard of people using glue stick, hairspray, blue masking tape, etc. Would prefer anything not messy and hairspray seems very messy. Thanks for any info!
#Going to try printing PETG for the first time, how to prep my textured glass bed?

no issues with PETG with PEI?
I have an X1 with both the textured and smooth PEI plates and have had issues with PETG sticking. I use a glue stick and also wash the plate with dish soap and water every few prints.
I have been using the Bambu PETG HF
As long as its structured. Satin smooth need a layer of glue. Just like glass
If you have it still on heatup to100c and use a scraper (plastic blade!!) Or a toothpick
I was under the impression gluesticks, masking tape, hairspray, etc was used to help improve first layer adhesion, but it sounds like you're trying to go the other way.
Fwiw I've use aquanet hairspray on my smooth glass beds, it works well and cleans up with water easily, but again that's to improve adhesion, not make it stick less.
Also, the LotR armor I made was printed in PETG on a textured PEI bed with no issues.
Use of glue as a separation layer on satin / smooth pei or glas with or without any coating is to prevent the bonding on a molecular level with Petg ... which is an issue i was told to avoid since day one i started 10 years ago. If you want fun google petg on glas and be amazed by how strong the bond is.
