Hey @tired sandal, thank you for contributing to this forum.

Just becasue you auto leved doesnt mean you are ready. you need to set your z off set too
you are too close.
The z offset is at .5
@wanton spade
Seems too much. Tweak it.
I can only tweak it in .5 increments
I might have found the issue somehow the x axis stability arm came loose on one side I just tightened it back down let’s see if that fixed the problem
ooo good find
Cross your fingers
Cause it has been laying down some funky lines here recently I just thought it was a bad nozzle I’ve switched it out twice and ordered a new horned today thinking that was issue if it was a loose bolt I’m going to flip
Yeah that wasn’t it
@wanton spade I bought a new hotend because I read that someone changed it out and started working fine again
idk doesnt make sense. Wish i knew more about the printer. Maybe take your hot end appart and re assemble?
Yeah I’m seriously at a loss after getting out the clog that was in the hotend it hasn’t worked right since
maybe see if there is a better firmware that allows finer Z off sets?
How often do you change the nozzle? I have the same printer
@smoky robin I haven’t changed it since march of last year
I have realized that I have to change the nozzle fairly often on it. Also see if the rollers on the x axis are still steady and clean
Okay
They might have loosened. I’d tighten some stuff, then re level. And I normally keep mine at either 0 or -.5
Anything else you can tell me about it would be helpful
Okay thank you still new to the printer so I have basically been keeping it like it is in cura settings
Oh, yeah. Gotta tweak those a little. But as far as leveling that won’t be cura too much
You may also have to tighten the bolts under a little. And are you cleaning the nozzle before each print
Yeah I run filament through it before every print
Try some different stuff and let me know if it works
@smoky robin so I changed out the whole hotend and this is what I get now
Also put the offset to 0
So I made a profile on cura for a content creator stuff and was running that went back to the factory version of cura and look at it now
This is factory settings?
Try at -.5
I’d also try a level and make sure the bed didn’t warp
@smoky robin yes this is basic version of cura I tried it a .5 nothing came out and I’ll try the level in a minute
No. I mean try it at negative .5
That’s what I meant to say sorry I’m on a 72 hr night shift
Gotcha.
@smoky robin the problem has been fixed I wound up being a bunch of small things which led to a big thing but I got it fixed thank you for your help with this
What happened?
@smoky robin a series of bolts being lose the hotend having a leak and having to replace that and other little things
Gotcha. I was thinking the loose bolts. And I also had to change my hot end. Glad you got it working!
@smoky robin I appreciate the help
