#Best way to put a printer in standby?

Hey! So my Neptune 3 Max ran out of filament in the middle of a huge print, and more won't arrive until Tuesday at least. It currently is on the automatic runout pause screen. Which brings me to my question:

What is the best way to leave my printer on standby so that I can resume the print when I get more filament?

I think you could leave it on idle until the filament arrives. If that isn't out of the question, maybe stick with what you've got.

I wouldn't mess with it any further until the filament arrives.

The next thing I would try, though, if I didn't care if the print failed, would be shutting the printer off and then starting it back up again Tuesday and hoping the auto-resume holds up. My issue with this function is that my printers consistently suffer a layer shift after auto-resuming from power loss.

Hm. Could you lower the nozzle temp to something like 60C, then hope you can bring it back up?

800g does seem like a big loss, but your wait time is awefully long.

#

That way the filament in the nozzle would harden and be below the glass transition temp, but the printer wouldn't have to keep up the nozzle temp too.

I think I could do that.
