That's cool and all but... TBH... I don't see the parts required to animate/motorize it. The action IMO would be pretty simple. Rotate a servo x degrees to open and y degrees to close. What's missing is a linkage system to move the cover plate up and another linkage system to move the missile. We helped @midnight spruce with a similar project but used Johan's model for it.

Worst case you can mount hinges to the 3D printed pets after the fact, and modify the 3D printed parts to be motorized. The very first video posted to my YouTube channel covers this, although I’m not sure how well the video holds up xD

Ideally you want the parts your hinges to be part of the files for structural reasons and longevity

You and I had the same idea! I just joined this disc because I finished designing a motorized mk 42 gauntlet that opens and closes around your arm. I was also inspired by that Do3D gauntlet model, but I bought it and found out that the parts are all wonky. I would not recommend buying that model. I designed most all of my gauntlet in blender, but it was a steep learning curve. If you want to make your own, I would recommend drawing up what you want the gauntlet to do when motors are activated, then design your own pieces using surface modeling tutorials on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dAnrc9FS--Q
