I've been troubleshooting this for last few days, tried feed tension, gears check, temperature check, but I am still getting this weird instability at the exact same spot. I've printed this before just fine in the past. Any suggestions?

I don't think so, or at least I didn't change that setting

Could be something to do with your retraction settings then

#

Since it happen above the support and screw thread where there is alot of retraction

#

Try doing a retraction test print, see if you can replicate the problem

@grizzled tundra so I tried another print, and when the filament retracts, it starts clicking like the gear is slipping. However, if I tighten it up any more, it crushes the filament and gets jammed in the tube.

#

It only made it 47 minutes into the print this time

I narrowed it down to a temp and tension issue. And my Boden tube is fused to the hot end by expanded filament

I took it all apart and did a deep clean and then adjusted the z retract by 20% and reduced temp nozzle by 5 degrees and it's working great now. Turns out that it was a combination of a lot of things adding up. Thanks for talking with me and giving me ideas @grizzled tundra . It got me looking around in the right sections on youtube. 🙂
