I have a piece of filament stuck in my extruder/ filament sensor. I have put the small allen wrench in the socket to see if I could push it out but no luck. Is there another way I could try? Also the tube seems to have something on it or possibly damaged. Should I replace it? All I found on the web was to replace it every six months.

Hey @misty fractal, thank you for contributing to this forum.
Please provide as much information (images, video, description) as you can. This will increase the chance that someone can help you with your issue.
Use the Close button when your issue is resolved.
The tube looks melted like you stuck it too far in. Might have caused retraction issues which led to your first problem
I'd warm up the extruder to just short of melting temperature to make your filament malleble, use the disengage trigger and some needle pliers to withdraw it.
Be careful, as it will be warm.
After that, you can use cutting pliers to cut the melted bits of the tube to a once again flat state. You shouldn't need to replace it just yet.
Thanks
