Is your cr touch light solid or flashing red? Pics or vid of what's going on?
oh sorry i just saw that! it starts out flashing but turns solid once it starts leveling. ill send a video in a sec
My arm and hair go into frame at some points but it is what it is for a quick video, everything can still be seen
Oof yea, that's rough. What's your z offset set to? I found this post that someone made where it seemed like an issue with the sensor to firmware and/or wiring. Also possible that your z offset is set too low and the sensor isn't adjusting for it

I have purchased a second user CR10s pro it was sold as a V2 but in fact is is a V1 with a failed CR touch upgrade. I have no problem as the seller was very clear and the price was good. I checked his wiring for the touch it looked ok. The problem it was having (before and after I put the v1.70 firmware on the screen and controller) was that ...
do i need to go to leveling settings to check the z offset? cause it starts to auto-level as soon as i go into leveling settings. also, i cant really look to much into it tonight (roommate asleep atm) but im gonna look more into this tomorrow. thank you for that article! im gonna post more updates and answer any questions that come up once im out of class tomorrow.
Typically when you hit “leveling” it does that initial probe in the center then displays your z offset. Unfortunately you can’t get to that step due to it ramming into your bed. Is the bed fully lowered?
A work around is to print a random file, then open the setting in the print page
You should be able to find the z offset there and set it to 0
I believe so, I'll check again once I'm home
Oh cool! I'll try that
so sorry for the late update the last week and a half i have had to do a LOT of work for classes and i havent had time to work on the printer. i got around to it today and the printing a random file and adjusting the z-axis idea seemed to work! im gonna do more testing tomorrow but it should be good! thank you for your help everyone
and incase anyone was curious, the z-axis was set to -20mm
I actually had an issue like this myself last week. During the measuring sequence, the last probe point my nozzle decided to ram into the bed. Then when I hit home it went wayyy above the bed in the center.
I took off the hot end shroud, unplugged the BL touch. Powered down the printer and re plugged in and all was good.
-20 is huge. Mines at -1.46
