Ye I know it sounds wierd but does anyone know how to 3d print plastic food models. I ask this because how does one print a sphere like a apple or a potatoe.

But when I see spherical 3d models like a egg I always see them cut in half

i dont have any idea what you are talking about... at the initial post i was at like 7% anyhow

so i'm going to gamble here and assume you're wondering how to print something round because in theory it would roll around the plate? if that's what you mean, generally slicing software will add supports (sometimes you have to check the box yourself to do that). In cura, you can load your model in, click "Slice" then you can click "Preview" and it will show you where all the supports are. If that's NOT what you mean... then @serene mulch is doing much better with his 7% of understanding what you're asking, than whatever percentage of understanding i'm at

I think it depends on what food you actually want.. thingiverse has been nailing the few searches i have done... but i still dont understand your issue

To go one further, I searched Thingiverse for an Onion, and i got an onion. Corn? Yep, i got a corn. I got a buttered cob of corn AND unbuttered. Who woulda thought?? Peanut? You betcha. I got a peanut. I searched for "chocolate bar" and i was surprised at how many showed up. No luck with "chips" "potato chips" and "candy" though. I'm with you though. I'm not understanding the problem or concern. But I think now I might be close to your 7% of understanding 😉
