Oh and ive also have watched franks video about sizing, i still cant quite get it to fit
Have you tried testing thin pieces of the smallest part of the helm? I'd just keep printing small pieces with the smallest part of them helmet till you can get your head through and anything else that's bulky fill with foam on the inside to make your head comfy. Trial and error.
Did you try getting a 3D scan of your head? It’s very useful for scaling helmets and can be used more than once
THIS ! this is the best way to do it without any other tech.
You don’t need any tech for a 3D scan, just if your phone is new enough
Apologies ! I’m still rocking the iPhone 7
You’re all good! The test ring will work great too but having a 3D model will let you get even more custom and such.
100% good call! You rock
thanks for the advice guys. I will keep trying!
@upper oriole try watching this. Frank shows how you can get the scale right for helmets by using measurements, he also shows how to do it with test rings, and with a 3d scan of ones head

Yeah years ago I remember Uncle Jessy talking about test rings, take a few cross sections and make em like 3-5mm thick, You can legitimately do it any way just turn the helmet in the angles and slice em on a flat plane
This Might work...Thanks !!1
Scan your head with Kiri engine
Also, remember you have friends. I think I know like 3 people with new iphones. 😛
@brazen solstice I actually used that for my iron spider helmet. It does work very well.
I always see the question on how do I scale my helmets to be 3d printed! Its always scary to 3d print a helmet and it not be sized right. You dont want to waste plastic or time. If you run a 3d printing business people may return if the helmets not sized perfect. In this tutorial I show exactly how to scale your 3d printed helmets to get the per...
That's the instruction video on how to use.
That does work if you keep the XYZ all the same, a lot of helmets that will work for but not all... it also really doesn't help those with massive heads either because usually that means one of the axis will have a ton of room. Like once you hit 105%+ you'll have to make the whole suit that much larger to make it look not bobble headed.
