Hey everyone! I’m relatively new to the 3D printing scene. While I got my prep and finish down pretty good I am having difficulty installing the LED eye strip. I have tried hot glue and super glue, but no luck. I’ve watched some of Franks videos on it and see that he used a soldering iron. Is there another way? Thanks!

He uses a soldering iron for plastic welding parts together. I've never heard of using one to install the cosplay eyes. I think he uses a lot of hot glue and I think I've seen him possibly use electrical tape also around the eyes as well but don't take my word for it on the electrical tape

I just recently finished my first iron man helmet. While there is a lot of room for improvement I am happy with the results and will be taking the helmet to my office for display. For the eyes, I did use hot glue. It took some creativity to get them to stay (the actual led wanted to come off of the eye part) but what I ended up doing was using the opaque backing to hot glue over the led bulb and hold it in place. I then ran hot glue over the inside of the eye area and once it was coated, I stuck the piece to it. I will also note I went with the flexible led eyes vs the hard acrylic and I am really glad I did.
