Hey guys! Could really use some help. I have used the HB Body C 496 2K HS CLEAR for a helmet. Looks great but even after days I can pick it up and still indent the clear coat with my fingerprints. Am I doing something wrong or is it just not a great clear coat? Appreciate the help!

What paints did you use under the clear and how long on the can does it say to cure? What are the temperatures with you, is it below 10 degrees Celsius?

Hey man! I've used it over VHT Anodized Purple which is like Duplicolor Metalcast (https://www.vhtpaint.com/high-heat/vht-anodized-color-coat). On the official documentation online it says 24 hours to cure. I leave it in garage so it is pretty cold. Probably 10 degrees during the day but colder during the night. Maybe that's problem?

I know the VHT paints well, I always leave them a good 3 or 4 days before coating.
I think to be on the safe side leave the clear be and see if a few more days helps. If it doesn’t then you will need to remove and repaint, but hopefully it won’t get to that.
You could try using a bit of heat, heat gun on low or a hairdryer to see if the heat helps cure it.

Oh interesting, I only left the VHT paint for 24 hours tbh so maybe I'll try that next time. Think I will have to repaint this lol Thanks for your help!
