I think my extruder is too high or something idk
One never used glue usually leveling keeps it from falling for me
I’m trying my best but idk what’s happening
Maybe I have the extruder to high or low, idk is my bed is leveled
It’s dragging the fil
It’s dragging the filament as it prints and won’t stick
I ment to say I sorry spell check
Print a bed level test.
Have you don’t a level test print ?
Done *
Looks pretty leveled when I print out the test
Show us.
Bed level? Like the first layer?
No. Go to thingiverse. Type bed level test
There’s thousands
Pick any one and print it
And then show us what the print looks like
Ok
It’s dragging
It’s probably to high
Did you do the paper method to lvl the bed ? Or how did you lvl it
I didn’t do a paper method idk what that is
Idk what’s a paper test first time using a printer
It’s when you put a piece of paper under the nozzle and print bed to get the right about of drag lots of videos on YouTube
Ok thanks, also how can you lower the nozzle for a 3D print on a Ender 3
The knobs on the bottom raises the bed I believe
Don’t have an Ender 3 but that’s how I do it on my Ender 5 plus
I linked you to a video in #jarvis-hotline. That will answer a lot of your questions
You can raise the bed? Is it to the left or to the right? Sorry I’m new to this
I was thinking of tagging there but was not sure if it was allowed to tag people there
It is. Anyone can tag there. In fact, please do
As long as you don’t do it out of spite. Then the ban hammer comes out
Will do for future times thanks
Am I doing the paper test right?
The rule was to let the nozzle scrap and glide on the paper right
Yeah some friction without the paper getting stuck
When your able to push and pull the paper from under and you feel it’s dragging slightly
Did you watch the video? This is all in there
Yeah there was no friction
And when I print
I eve you babysit z
Use baby sit Z
I literally have no idea what I’m doing wrong
Is the at a bed level print?
You’re too far away. Raise your bed.
What is this? Glue?
I literally don’t know where the white spots came from it just appeared when I used the printer and yes I use glue at times and it doesn’t work
I raised the bed and it still gave me a bad level print
Show it to us
Maybe it’s plastic wrap from the metal sheet ?
Here is the bed I just cleaned it
Your bed should not look like that. What did you clean it with?
Soap and water, when I first use the printer it began looking like this
Was there film on it like @north lily said?
That’s what It looks like to me specially if it’s new and nothings been used on it
I’m gonna pre heat the plastic like Frankly Built said
My nozzle is at 200 and Bed at 82
Bed too hot
Woah. Bed shouldn’t be that high
We just got our ender 3 as well. What the guys are telling you is the nozzle is too high. It is extruding it out but it should be sorta squishing it between the bed and the nozzle. If you look at yours close it is probably mostly round. A single layer will normally be flat and thin if it is correct. Bed 50.
A good starting point for the Bed is around 60
What does hotter bed do? I've been running at 50.
How can I make sure plastic is squishing
You'll be able to tell as it prints.
The bed temp kept the print from coming off the bed also run it with eco mode off
Ok it’s printing
Like the others said, the piece of paper should have resistance when you pull on it.
This is a 3 from the looks of it. That doesn’t have eco mode
Sorry didn’t know
You’re good. I wouldn’t know if I didn’t have 2 of them
So far it’s just dragging
Not close enough
If your bed is too cold you can get issues like warping, but most likely large prints will just not stay put
It’ll look like your bed isn’t leveled like halfway up a print
So I have to level the bed higher
I’m printing right now I’ll google a pic hold on
Come on. Stop using your printer for its intended purpose
Lol had to re read that twice I was like wait what I do now
I was trying to get a pic of mine. It is almost touching.
The knobs are getting tighter it should do that right
put a piece of paper down. turn that corner up until it touches the paper. Then do all 4 corners a few times.
If they are getting tight it’s the wrong way
The tighter it gets the lower the bed goes you want to raise it
yeah you have yours all the way down.
I have to loosen the knobs to raise it
Yeah
That is right. See how Yunior87, the springs are very loose.
Do one at a time with the paper thing that’s what I did when I first got started
This picture looks good
The bottom thing is the print bed
See the description on the first that’s what’s happening to you
You need to baby step it closer.
Much better
I would try that. See how that goes.
Might be a bit far still, but much better
Thanks you guys 👍
It worked ?
Testing a bed test now
Now that’s a leveled bed
bottom right need a bit closer
Yay
Still thank you
I still think it’s a plastic film covering your magnetic bed lol
Is this close enough?
Probably not. But print the bed level test
Actually definitely not. Closer still
Hey man I got it working but I think something for this mask is there something wrong with it
Why do you think somethings wrong with it?
When it was printing the filament for the supports flies off, maybe it’s how I have the mask placed
Did anyone print masks like robins because I need some advise
I would suggest you start with small things first, to learn how your printer works.
That has no supports.
This has no support
