hey the extruder bearing on my 3d printer wont spin causing no filament to get to the end of the printer, ive had this happen once before but i dont remember how i solved it. it turns for a little then just quits altogether

honestly idk if this will fix my major problem but its a step in the right direction. any info will help im desperate to get something working

u can refer to this video to reassemble the extruder (the stock and aluminium are the same assembly just different materials)

ive reassembled it twice now

still hasnt worked

i think they are pressed together to tight

when u tighten the bearing

can u pull it out slightly?

push it away from the gear slightly and then tighten it

u can loosen the screw that holds the spring together slightly too

can release some tension

oh and u have the washer in place right ? on the under side and on the top there should be the ring

tried looking at all of this it all seems fine

the bearing sometimes turns but only for a few moments

and its just the bearing

the other part turns fine

@orchid forge i think i found the issue? no clue how to fix it though

i think its not tight enough actually, when the motor turns its not tight enough for the bearing to turn as well i think

loosen the gear push it toward the bearing and tighten it see if that helps
