Printer:CR10s
Hot end:200-220
Bed:65
Material: zyltech pla
Z hop retraction: enabled
Print speed: 50mm
Infil 5-10%

So my printer was running fine and i was pumping out great prints but the last month I haven’t had a decent print come off the bed. I’m not sure the issue they start out fine and usually midway up the quality starts to fail. Sometimes they lack structure and feel crunchy for the touch. Iv re leveled my bed 100 times. Replaced the nozzle and ptfd tube but I just can’t seem to correct the problem. Would love some help. Relatively new to this.

Maybe check your belts?

Can you elaborate on that? In what fashion?

They could be a tad loose

Try tightening them a little bit. Mainly the X belt. That was my issue when I wad having that problem. It was a loose belt.

I had a similar problem with my Y belt

That as well. It's usually a belt issue, considering you've replaced and eliminated other options(nozzle and tube)

Careful not to over tighten or this can happen after sometime. 😳

Good thing belts are relatively cheap for replacements

Make sure your rollers on your hot end gantry and bed are snug as well. Ran into that as well.

This may be dumb but how tight should the belts be? How do I know if there to loose or not

I set the tension to the deflection of the belt was minimal but not so tight that I was plugging a banjo string. I went to a micro center and looked at all the belts on the displays to see what “normal” looked like. I then ran a bunch of stringing/retraction test towers in the direction of my belt to test and adjust until I was happy with how it was set.

I was also dealing with a broken belt after I jacked things up.

So after checking this morning my bands didn’t fuel loose. I tightened them a little just to be sure and I’m going to throw the same print on to compare
