When I add mp4 video and it lags a lot in the preview and I wonder if there is a way to fix that or I should just convert the video file?
There is no such thing as a "lag" with other video formats.

well I am going to convert the videos into wmv

I think wmv works fine on Vegas Pro

the settings are 1920x1080 basically HD format with 30 or 60 fps

the problem is only with mp4 btw

wmv format for example has no issues at all
