Working on this one as a B-side for an EP but kinda stuck with it.
I feel like I'm losing interest listening and it needs more breakdowns (changes in drums, bass notes). I've got pretty gnarly ear fatigue after working on it for 7 hours straight though...

if you have the ear fatigue best option is to just take a couple days off from this particular tune and then get back at it
not sure if you are running things through a limiter on the master, but the main issue I have is just the levels are quite low all around
solid foundation for a tune, and i think you know already what to do to take it to the next level. but most sounds are kinda quiet on my end here, which might mean you will struggle to get as loud as reference tunes without swapping out sounds

This is totally dry, and it's coming in at -2.5dB or so on the master. Once it's properly mastered, it'll be plenty loud.
I may have problems with my studio monitors not being tuned properly. Need to give this a listen through my DT990s to see if that's an issue. I thought it was relatively balanced but clearly I need to take some time away from it and come back later haha

Yea, if that is the case then it should sound great once it is finalized! That explains why things sounded a bit quiet and thin.
Some development / evolution of drums could help a bit, as right now its , there's def some space for some midrange percussions and some extra hi hats, maybe a shaker.

Oh yeah, she needs a lot of work still! Gonna revisit tomorrow and see how I feel about it after some more work. Will share the update then.
