#Dropship landing pad and dropship recall beacon

Well on the Dark Horizon map things are done differently for challenge. Yes this is completely by design. Just like you can not call anything down before getting to Eden. DH is there hardest map yet and the store page outright says it is close to a whole new game. So no more dropship anywhere without planning. Just carry the needed structure takes the same space as the beacon which works fine on other maps.
Ok, thanks. Is this mechanic specific for Elysium or is carried over to the other maps?
No that Dropship Pad is part of the Elysium map. Forces you at the start to consider what you come down with. Early rumors were that the map was not designed to be started bare bones lvl 1. Though many have said they dropped with no WS aid and were able to manage. I got bored and gave up. LOL.
The landing pad has the same behaviour on Olympus. Really makes the recall beacons useless since once you claim the landing pad, your dropship will move there. I can't imagine that is by design. Letting it take off when you use a beacon and then land at the pad again? Regardless of where you are in the world? Has to be a bug.
i also noticed this when working on Olympus, Styx and Prometheus.
As soon as you claim a Dropship Landing Pad, you can no longer use the Dropship Beacons as the dropship will just launch into the air and land back on the Landing Pad.
