had a full description and screenshots, not gunna type all that out again, but games foggy and blurry. specs are rtx 4070 12 gig, ryzen 7700x 32 gigs ram. game runs at about 80 fps
any help would be appreciated
Not seeing any issue in the pictures. They are not blurry at all.
Have you checked to make sure nothing is overheating?
i appreciate you messaging back, so grass and everything suppose to look like that?
it looks super blurry and looking off in the distance looks foggy
Well to me it looks fine. Perhaps I am not the best person to ask but looks the same as my game does. I have 0 issues with it.
Just thought an answer was better then crickets.
yea i guess the games suppose to look like that if you dont see an issue
these are the raytracing options I'm using (3090 Ti):
can try those to see if they help. I'm also on "epic" for everything else, though.
Push the sharpness up to 1, here.
thats the only thing i havent tried is turning on rtx
If your card can handle it, try pushing your poolsize up a bit. see if it improves.
i pushed it to max and didnt seem to have an effect
ill run in dx12 and enable rtx and see what happens
I know different people have had different experiences with DX12 and DX11, some being more performant or just flat out better-looking on one and others on the other. dunno why, but I always attributed it to the weird quirks of different builds.
This is about how my game looks rn, but usually, anything at a distance is usually reduced to avoid taking up too much in terms of resources.
Noticed you’re running borderless not full screen but dunno if that matters tbh
iv tried both and borderless seems to look a tiny bit better
okay, this is as close to a side-by-side comparison as I can get. I do notice your image is a lot darker than mine. not sure why. but that's yours as "native" resolution on top of my game in the background.
time of day
ah, yeah, just realized that.
Well. hope this kinda matches too
I'll stand around a few minutes and see what happens.
Ignore my sadness shack (and the fact half the forest is gone. My wife is a bit of an arsonist.)
yeah, that looks more like what I'm seeing.
enabling rtx, turning all the setting of rtx off and enabling fsr to max quality cleared it up real good
yea rtx fixed it.
display settings sometimes feel as much like voodoo as anything. but glad you're happier 🙂
odd that you have to enable rtx to get a clearer and not so soft textures
I think the "native" is 1920x1080. I know below that things get weird. so it might be "tuned" for that (it's a 4-year-old game at this point, after all) and need the boosts to look clearer at higher resolution.
