I have been noticing almost every time I login to my game, something is missing. I only really notice when the walls and the roof are gone, but It feels like electrical cable runs have possibly been getting removed and breaking my system. Regardless, figured I'd pass it along. Thanks as always!

Usually this happens when there's too many items to load during loading of the prospect.
Too many buildables, placeables, mounts, too extensive power and water networks etc.
It all needs to be loaded in during prospect load.
Sometimes this result in building pieces breaking before their stability calculations are completed.
Just out of curiosity, can you post a screenprint of the amount of buildables etc?
Press Esc and it shows it top left.
Performance issues can be partially mitigated by running the prospect on a Dedicated Server (splitting server-side and client-side load).
Also, some housekeeping (expecially around the base) could help increase performance in that area again (you know, running Thumper, Localized Terraforming Device etc)
Just started doing thumpers and terraforming from seeing the suggestion here. I also host my own dedicated server on a completely diff strong machine. I’ll get a snap the next time I may be on but I know I’m prolly like 1800-1900 buildables
Shouldn't be too bad (although you could try sending some mounts up to space), especially when running the prospect on a Dedicated Server.
Interesting though that it says 0 on both water and power networks, whilst your initial screenshot clearly shows wind turbines and power wires.
Is this also from the same prospect as your initial screenshot?
Yes, I found that odd too, most of the time it says zero but sometimes it shows a few hundred of each I believe. I have 3 mounts, rest are chickens, wolves, cows and sheep. Is it logical to stock up on milk and eggs then just toss them back into space? Do they produce quite a bit of lag?
Each tame/mount produces a bit of lag:
Pathing, food and water use, they all need their own calculations.
I've found (once you have some eggs, milk and wool stocked up) one chicken, one cow and one sheep is more than enough for one player...
The fact your prospect sometimes shows 0 for pipes/wires, sometimes a few hundred makes me think there's something wrong with your prospect file.
This might be (but not necessarily is) a result of mods.
I'd suggest making a new Open World, keep your base (and power/water networks) reasonably sized.
Multiple smaller networks is less taxing than one big network.
In general I find it a good idea to regularly start a new Open World, but that's my personal opinion.
Yeah, this is me and my buddies world and we just got our house how we want, our tier 4 stuff, guns, etc. so essentially, the game is just starting, so restarting isn't an option hehe. As for the file, I have never, nor will ever use mods, just to give this the best chance to run correctly. The only electrical I have is at our main base, no insane cables across the map or anything, but maybe I will go through and redo my electrical and whatnot now that the house is done. I did just get in and take a screenshot, which now it shows wires and pipes but the buildings number has dropped like 400 and I did not change anything like that within the last day. always fun heheheh
Yeah, those varying numbers make it harder to determine whether or not the amounts are giving issues :-p
Hehe I hear ya. Thanks again for lookin at it ^^
