When stuck at the Preparing Geometry screen press the movement keys ASDW and/or move the Mouse Cursor around. Usually jogs past the snag.

Did you try LoggingOut of Steam and then Relog. This resets the Steam administered connections. (Closing the app does not do this.)

Both parties may need to do this.

FYI, Tuesday is Steam maintenance day. Sometimes it causes hickups.

You will need to roll back the save to when you were alive. Instructions for the map owner: #how-to-icarus message

If this is impossible, there are ways to manipulate the files to delete your character from the prospect and then drop back down, but my first suggestion would be a save rollback

The instructions I sent just above are unrelated to the prospect save files. The character file is guaranteed to be accessible to you, because otherwise you wouldn't be able to select your character at all. The loadouts file is accessible if you can see your loadout for any prospect in the "items on prospects" screen

It's a text file. Any text editor works
