Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Icarus\Icarus\Content\Paks (or wherever relative to where you have it installed). Make sure there are 1) no subfolders in the Paks folder and 2) only 26 files, all pakchunk0<something>.pak.

this is telling you that your GPU is becoming inaccessible for some reason.

oh weird. only thing thats changed since last time i played was the driver update for the dlc

So, 1) do a clean driver update, try again.
2) make sure you aren't pushing your GPU/VRAM too hard with your settings.
3) monitor for overheating or power drops.
