Why was this deleted?

#

Anyway... I was saying my game keeps crashing after starting a new mission and playing for a minute

#

My game also crashes when I start it but that crash doesn't happen all the time.

After more testing, the crash happens in DX11 & DX12.
The crash occurs when I try to craft wooden floor.

#

Maybe that can help

This is getting annoying....

#

I created a new world with the same mission

#

it crashes again

#

I also have 2 FPS when opening the map but that's less annoying

#

Someone help pls 🙏

The only thing I can personally say is: do you have mods? Never install them because it constantly leads to similar problems.
Second: check the installation of the Steam game (verify). You have a LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] error
Unreal engine just doesn't seem to see the required file, whether it's a mod or a corrupted game installation.

I reinstalled the game and it works

#

but there are still random crash sometimes when I open the game, so I have to restart it a couple times

If you continue to have random crashes, try:
If you have 16GB of RAM (very likely so) then this is not surprising, try increasing the pagefile.sys page file to 16GB or 32GB (should be on the SSD)
If you have 32GB of RAM, then anything can happen, but try increasing the page file pagefile.sys to 32GB (should be on the SSD)
Theoretically, it’s better to put the game on an SSD, at first I had it on an HDD, there were some strange jamming, input lag, then I transferred it to an SSD - it naturally became much better.

And still sometimes crash or stutter

#

I mean if my system has a hard time with the game it not my problem, they should fix their game

#

Imo

The fact that the game has a stutter I do not argue, and something really needs to be done about it.
I rather meant speech about random crash. I also had these problems and no one really could help or advise, I had to do it myself.
For example, when I try to run my large OpenWorld on DX11 34-35GB (total consumption with the paging file - at the peak of the load itself, physical RAM consumption is near 27GB), on DX12 about 50GB ....
Therefore, I definitely had to switch to DX11, as I read on the official steam forum, some on DX12 have the problem of rare spontaneous crashes, they switch to DX11.
Personally, here I am trying to somehow help you (with what I know) to solve the problems of random crash (so that you understand me correctly).

but i don't think we can do much anymore

#

also, I can't switch to DX11 because the map has 1 FPS

#

so I have to use DX12 with all its crashes and memory leaks...

R5 3600
RX 6650 XT
32gb ram
3 ssd nvme

#

What is your idle memory usage?

keen cave
#

Probably 5-6gb

#

On Windows it’s always near this

clever tusk
#

Okay pretty normal

#

What are your in game settings

keen cave
#

All in ultra/epic forgot what the max is

#

With FSR

#

And no RT

clever tusk
#

I would say turn everything down to medium increase your fov to 105

#

Turn on contact shadows and simple building shadows

#

Turn off light shadows

The stutter aren’t related to graphics, it’s juste the game is so poorly optimized that it probably renders way too much things at the same time and in an un optimized way

Set texture streaming pool to 4500

#

You have basically the same system as me:
R5 3600
RX 6600 XT
32gb ram

#

And to get a smooth 60 fps I have everything on medium

#

Also I don't use FSR

Also lock your fps to 60
