#Exotics lost

I'm afraid you're out of luck.
There's no roll-back.
Think about it: If they need to roll back the database x time just for your mission, every single other player will have be rolled back as well in order to keep an consistent database. I don't think all those other players will be pleased with that... 😉
I know it stings, losing 200 exotics that way.
But on the other hand, it was in the patch notes...
Having said that, I suggest you put a Feature Upvote in to add a line to the 'leave prospect' screen stating that any exotics should be sent up separately by the new exotics delivery pod.
Link that Feature Upvote here once it's up, and I'll upvote it as well.
Since although I've read the patch notes and I know about this, there are quite a lot of people (like yourself) who didn't know, and will lose their exotics this way.
Yeah, we checked the text in the drop pod and it STILL actually says that you need to put exotics into the droppod cargo. Seems the odl text needs to be removed, or the old functionality need to also work.
nah thats it man, Ive played Icarus from the very start, dealed with a lot of crap. But they cannot touch the exotics like that and not put a huge ass message or icon all over my face.
yep the text here needs to be changed, our 16 exotic test resulted in zero exotics. This is the text that suggested it may still work.
it was in the patch notes but we wanted to test if the old way still worked
You could have read the patch notes; it was stated there.
So you can't blame the game exclusively... 🤨
Although, again, I agree that they should change the texts left and right, making it clear exotics cannot be brought up anymore via dropship or inventory, and have to be sent up separately.
I have commented on this in another thread. I too have over a thousand hours in game. Major major changes to muscle memory, beat you over the head game play mechanics require more than just patch notes. The devs should have made exotics ineligible for those slots and popped a warning about the change in function. It's not a feature request, it's simply poor policy practice.
That needs to be rectified.
I didn't lose exotics, but I am upset that such a major change wasn't thought through better.
I have well over 1k hours as well.
And since I also heavily rely on muscle memory, it's just waiting till I lose exotics this way as well.
However, I made it a practice of thoroughly going through the patch notes each week.
And still I'm missing things 😉
Our group of four just lost 1000 exotics on a spirit walk from this. I am infuriated. I don't need the exotics as I have almost 10k myself.
The other three though are fairly new players and I did the run to help them. My question is why is it even possible to put the exotics in the shuttle at all. Why does the squares not just highlight in red and not allow you to put them in there?
I am so close to just telling these morons to F off and uninstalling this game.
you mean this part?
The new Orbital Exchange Interface is a planetary-crafted deployable that when activated, allows you to call a drop ship down to extract your exotics up to the space station. This means you no longer need to take them up in your dropship with you on completion of your prospect.
if this was their way of telling everyone that you can't extract them via the drop ship (while the drop ship text still says you can), then I'm pretty sure we can blame them.
So, in a group of 3, if we are on a mission and extract for example 300 exotics and put them on the extract pod all of us get the 300 exotics?
It's true the text could be clearer; I'm not denying that.
But yes, that's the part I meant.
Yes, you will.
Just the same as before the patch when you took them back up either in your inventory, or in your dropship.
Just be aware you'll have to use the Orbital Exotics Interface since last week Friday's patch...
Ah ok. Tks
You're welcome
