Hi guys 🥲 since playing on prometheus, my boyfriend's game keeps crashing after every mission (specs for the pc is ryzen 3700x 16g ddr4 mhz m.2 ssd & rtx2080 super — my pc is a potato compared to his lol)

We will complete a mission on open world, the game will save (10 min interval), then crash immediately. His settings aren't epic or ultra either, he's also running studio drivers as recommended.

Game did not crash on olympus or styx though, any help would be appreciated 🙏

The pc freezing is more likely a pc issue than a game one.

16g ddr4 check the store page, if that is all that is installed is 16GB of RAM then could be you are running out of RAM. He would have to play with nothing else running short of Steam and Win and keep buildings small and textures low. Then maybe you can scrap by. Best to add another 16GB as games are requiring 16 free these days.

yes its a you issue. 1 you dont know if the server owner still has the server running. 2 you have done no trouble shooting to find where your problem is. 3 you need to learn how to type.

You restarted the SERVER you didn't log out of steam and log back in those are 2 completely different things. Your buddy also needs to log out and back in.

Go to Saved/PlayerData
from there Steam ID number/Prospects.
Should see a bunch of files with same names you see when you load them. The NAME.Json is the main save. The ones with the ,backup are the the backup. To rollback easy just drop the current Json somewhere. Then rename that backup by simply removing the .backup. Now it looks the same as the file you just moved. That will be what loads.

Oh wait that is for SP. Just go to the SAVED in the Server and follow the rest.

Okay so you rolled back the save that fast and it did not work? You logged out of Steam and back in and that did not work? Seems that you chose what to listen to or did not understand what was said well. How you resolved it suggests lag or corrupted data in the save somewhere. Good luck and glad you resolved it.

No one can answer that with the details you are sharing. I can tell you for a FACT that I have been playing since the DH DLC came out and I have 0 crashes on record.
Very likely your PC barely meets the Requirements for the game or some other issue on your end. Seems with PC games there is always a group of people having issues. Seen the majority of issues solved when they are open to Troubleshooting these things instead of just screaming about it.
So start a thread provide some details and let others help.

Hello, in my prometheus openworld playthrough, I started the mission named "Dispatch". When I visit the camp in the swamp, many defensive walls are missing as seen in the screenshot. Is it possible to fix it somehow?

I gotta start an offline map then restart the game ( I can't go to character selection cause I can't choose any character then) then load that same map but in friends only just to send an invite to a friend I don't understand how this is released like this

Keep in mind that the team that made the base game and the team that did the port to console are not the same. So the Console is brand new and needs clearly some help. Sounds like you are getting it though have patience it is an excellent game.

I have no issues with the game at all, the work around on open maps has worked and we have had our fun and it's really rewarding and I appreciate many little things they did that other games have over looked i.e the requirements for repairing items on the fly is awesome. I'm just frustrated over the multiplayer issues

Nah no need to apologize I get it. Just wanted to be sure you understood the difference in the 2 teams. Also I am guessing importing a game to console is not easy. PCs are often much more powerful hardware wise.
I found the Dayz mod for Arma 2 13 yrs back and never went back to console. Ironically the creator of that mod is also the CEO of for this game.

Hello, sorry if i'm writing in the wrong channel, new here. I had an issue recently, where my devices at random get disconnected from the water/electric network upon relaunch of the game. Anyone encountered it before?

This is a common issue but a random one so harder to track. Usually from what I have heard in here happens when you have an excessive amount of Wire/Water lines OR if you have really really long ones, such as going more than say 25% across the grid it starts in. Could even be a hardware issues as that all has to get loaded when you are starting the game up.
Try to cut down on the wire/water lines best you can. I run one of each around the outside of my base then just anything needs connecting I go from it to the outside line. You can put down the start and walk all the way outside to connect it without issue (I have never had one). Could be a way of cleaning up.
Also use Solar or Wind to power any away from base things like Drills. Wind Turbine seems to be the preferred for that. Yes needs repair but only means when you come to collect have a hammer on hand to it the turbine a few times.
Hope some of this helps.

The thing is, it never used to happen, i had connections across half the map for drill and watermills and never encountered this issue last year. Also yea i usually use portable generators for drills but still my main base has this issue.

All I do around here is absorb the information that others who are more experienced or closer to the devs and share that information with people just like you. Well if the save got corrupted it could maybe help. You can pull the current save to Desktop and IF it does not work put it back again.

Okay so if you go to where the save is look for the same name that you see in game when you load up the save. Should be "Mygame.Json" put that on your Desktop or somewhere save, so that it is not in that folder but if this does not work you can fall back to it look for another solution.

Is where you should find it for SP. For a server it is in the server install in just SAVED folder.
So you find "Mygame.Json" there and find a save place for it. Then you see the "Mygame.Json.backup" all you have to do to make that your live save is RMB/Rename and Remove the .Backup. This would also include if you used a backup with a number at the end remove the number too. So that the file looks like the one you put in the safe place. Win will ask if you are sure it will work just hit okay/yes.
Personally rolled back my save before with this game so I know this works.

Yeah, there was a FLOD reset a couple of weeks ago.
It should've been a one-time only occurrence though.

To prevent damage from trees as much as possible, cut them down from the top down.

Sounds like their internet is not running reliable speeds to maintain connection or their Ping to the server is too high. Ping over 100 starts to become an issue. At 150 that is not good, closer to 200 need another place to play.

Yeah 200 is playable but if you are an FPS watcher and cry about lag it is not playable. Most people today seem to be like that. I have played Dayz on EU servers with a 200 ping was not fun, more so when I got a car. ROFL.

yes, I video-recorded it and let the devs know last week. It seems like if the tick from the refiner hits at just the wrong time, it splits the 500 mL generated into two different cycles and thus doesn't treat either as enough to generate refined oil, so it just deletes the amount. the solution is to not run the refiner off the extractor when the extractor is empty, corect.

once its been moused, the error persists, untill you "reset" the oilcan. turning the refinery off and reloading the can the longer fix, discription count, and "amount in can" count, dont match, because discription count is like a "Second" count, then we get 2 diffreing numbers when more fuel is added., which errors the oilcan. ither have teh discription mirror the true. or add line to update both the "in-can" and disciption counter as same time.

Im playing on xbox. My 2 teammates and I walked into G3 cave 100ft past entrance and at separate times all hit a soft lock repairing geometry please wait. We can hear footsteps, inventory noises and the cursor is available. Completely stuck; tried reset. Found online a strategy to go offline and spam movement inputs while loading. On xbox there is no previous save file, so as of right now our server is corrupted. Just got to the point of composites…

all your in-game content is in %localappdata%\Icarus\saved\[your steam id]. deleting or renaming that folder while the game is at the Play screen or Steam Cloud is off will reset your progress entirely.

if you havent, return to character select, then hit "back" to go back to the play screen. then click Play, select, character, and re-enter the prosepct. Sometimes the flags aren't read immediately when earned, but going back to the Play screen and re-entering the prospect should let you spend the blueprint point.

Also, just a reminder that you can't spend any blueprint points on station, only while in a prospect.

im playing on pc. im not able to find limestone deep ores in open world olympus map at all the three location as mentioned in interactive map, and other places. idk if this hppnd to me only!!

Okay, got it, no wiki page then.
Deep Ore Deposits/Veins are random on each save file. The locations remain consistent which is why they are show on maps like Icarus Intel or on the Wiki.

Have you attempted to locate a limestone DOV with something like the Advanced Deep Mining Ore Scanner?

Also, was your save prior to the Limestone DOVs being added? I do know in the past not all DOVs would be reshuffled, so the new resource may not appear on older maps/saves. I'm not sure if this was ever remedied.

There are places you can upload your save to have it generate a map with all your Veins on a save.

Yes , used advanced Deep mining ore Scanner

As im using Mods for increasing Stack size and food buff!! Is ds possible these mods somehow interfered vd ??

Those mods unlikely causing your issue. Very likely you just have not found them. Again did you start this save after Limestone was introduced as Roselyn asked?
Might want to look for the Icarus Interactive map, use it to find what you are looking for.
