might sound ridiculous but if your workload is large and need a beefy laptop for college i’d recommend a decent gaming laptop, coming from a uni student who can’t use his pc much and regrets spending so much on it, but if you’re determined on a desktop, probably a prebuild for a student budget, especially with part prices rn, but that’s the quick solution so if you have time, and a decent income stream where you can afford to save comfortably then i’d save and play the waiting game.

Weigh the priorities and then make a decision but that’s just my opinion

it really just depends, but for a laptop or prebuilt don’t skimp out too much and future proof a little, don’t get a **50 series cus they’re shit cards (arguable) and make sure to get decent ram on it since that’ll only continue getting worse

also for gaming like you said aim for 8+ Gb of VRAM

and any prebuilt or laptop make sure the parts are somewhat easy to replace or change
