for peeps who might not understand the image, Cupxiotor’s origins is that Cuphead was one day walking into the old destroyed Devil’s Casino alone one night to search for something or to check on any danger that the Devil might cause or some missing soul contracts and as he’s there, the Devil’s Arm under destroyed rubble grabs Cuphead and takes his Soul and replaces it with an evil spirit sent from Hell named “Respiro” whom takes control over Cuphead’s Body and becomes Cupxiotor. The damage done on Cuphead’s body was all caused by the Devil when he captured Cuphead in the palm of his hands

The reason why Cupxiotor shows emotion here is because part of Cuphead is in guilt and pain as Respiro is trying to refrain from the memories and adventures, Cuphead and others have been through. Cupxiotor can feel pain and guilt like Cuphead, it’s just that he tries refraining from it.
