@supreme judges help
This is a very nice and promising PDF reader (although very lackluster at the moment). Is the source code available somewhere?
Also, I noticed there was some weird glow added where there is an accent color. Will there be an option for this? It looks very weird and doesn't fit the desing of WinUI.
The app design is GlowUI. I won’t add a regular WinUI style yet
Yes
I couldn't find a GitHub, do you have a link?
Uh so it’s complicated
Basically old version open source there are 2 repos in different orgs
What? Why not just setup a GitHub repo and stick to it, like other projects?
Uh legacy moment
Also app might not be open source because I have learnt from @severe scroll the benefits of closed source
Fluetro+ soon
You're welcome pookie
The benefits of closed source? What?
So many benefits actually
Like what?
People can't steal the codebase
Not getting community contributions?
I am the community
Lmao wtf
And you can hire a team of unpaid workers
I have both open and closed source
Rarely does anyone ever contributes to my open source apps
I'm not stupid enough to publish a paid app as open source
And this
Good idea I should make fluetro paid to profit
I can't tell whether this is satire or actual developer brainrot
Inside jokes + we're being serious
I have lot of fully open source apps
Open source isn't always a good thing
Open source is almost always a good thing
If you make something revolutionary you won't want to open source it especially if you also want to profit from it
But devs are free to choose
Btw actual brain rot be TUNG TUNG TUNG TUNG TUNG sahur

Hello, I installed Fluetro PDF, in Windows 11 works but I installed it on Windows 10 19045.5965 X64 and it didn't open, it hangs on a black screen sometimes or on a blue screen with the app logo. But the first time assistant worked. I only want to report this bug
I love all your apps! These are the things Microsoft should have done
Instead of the trash apps they (MS) do recently (New Outlook, Teams etc)
Yay
TBH I’d love if Fluetro was open source because I’ve tinkered with PDF readers when learning to code in college. (Most PDF readers suck so I felt it was a good way to learn.)
I would love to be able to see if there is anything I could actually contribute or even help fix a bug.
I understand why you haven’t open sourced it. I don’t agree but I understand and respect your decision.
Fluertro is great.
I can when I switch to the new engine that uses Sumatra pdf engine
Hello, does Fluetro PDF receive updates?
Yes
Probably one of my most used apps
Hi, FireCube! I absolutely love your PDF viewer, it's really, really well made. Can I just ask for a simple feature? I think that the "auto-scroll" feature would be really interesting to have, that one that is activated when clicking with the rolling-wheel of the mouse. For some reason it doesn't happen in Fluentro PDF, maybe it's a bug or not implemented?
Hmm... Also, I found something odd. When I try to open a new pdf, sometimes it just doesn't open at all, even though I spent several minutes waiting. This didn't happen in the Edge Pdf Viewer. For it to work on first try, I need to go to Files> open, only then it will work. Most of times this happen:
Hmm... Something similar happened to Nora. It had problems in opening files on first try and it only worked after I opened the folder inside the program. Maybe that's one downside of not using the default programs? I really love these fluent style programs, but I guess Windows kinda limit
I never knew edge pdf viewer had auto scroll with mouse
Strange
Yup, Edge pdf viewer has an auto-scroll with the middle-wheel. And, yeah, it's odd how I see that some .pdf don't open at all, even when going to Files > open. I am currently experiencing this issue...
Are they big files
Hmm... It's a book, it weights 16,3 MB
For benchmark, the Edge PDF viewer opens it normally
Also, could it be possible for Fluentro PDF to save the page where the user last left? I think it could be nice quality of life. I love this app and genuinely want to see it grow and improve.
Hmm... For some reason I can't copy text from the PDFs in Fluentro. Is it normal? I was able to do so in Edge PDF viewer.
Hey, @modern canopy, could it be possible to change the default icon of the .pdf file extension applied by Fluentro PDF? It would be pretty cool if it had the fluent design similar to Rectify11. Here's the picture with the actual icon (left) and rectify11 default pdf icon (right).
I think many users would like to see a more modern icon that is consistent with the system's design.
FireCube?
It does change the icon lol
