#The longer i play with Archer as main archetype, the more useless it feels (Small rant)

Archer as a ranged class obviously will deal less damage and be more squishy than a melee damage dealer due to the range advantage, but this game seems to really hate the idea of being safer at range, huge majority of enemies have ranged attacks so kiting isn't as effective, half of the game take place underground in cramped spaces/mountaintops where kiting is even harder to pull off without making even more enemies attack you, enemies will always close the distance sooner or later so then you aren't even at range anymore, due to archery scaling with might, you don't have as good of a sustain as mages that can attack and heal from INT.
Then there is leather armor, which tbh, i feel like it's kinda shit, 8% Crit Chance and 20% shorter CC feels way worse than plate's 6%HP, 8% better healing and 10% phys. DP, since crits are kinda useless when you die before you can defeat the enemy, ESPECIALLY with how aggro works in this game.
If anyone here has a lvl 26 archer-focused build that doesn't require me to stop and heal every 2-3 mobs i kill i would appricieate knowing since currently playing it feels like shit

archery + warfare = big sustain.

#

full might up to level 40. after, 80% might and 20% dex

#

So I have assembled myself and I am satisfied.

#

I'm just unsure between fighter and trickster

#

playing with the bow, of course.

#

the next skill points will be in archery's second and fifth passive

thx, ill try it when i'll get a t3 weapon, cuz right now im running with 2 swords and warfare/shadow

continue with t2, just infuse it. Infusion becomes more expensive with higher tiers

The fact that Archery scales off of might rather than dex gives you some really viable options to utilize melee while keeping your ranged ability.

I've been a greataxe main for 30 levels or whatever, tried a bow today, and yeah - I guess I don't really see the advantage in a PVE context.

You can spam movement to kite to avoid damage or, assuming you can self-sustain in melee (which I've been able to), sit still and do more damage

I just started, do you think bow is worth to play? or maybe just go for melee?

# cinder condor try.

tried this, with same effective level and even T3 bow instead of 2 T2 swords, i get my ass kicked by enemies that i could kill by standing still, the feeling of playing the game changed from being enjoyable, to again feeling like the game wants to punish me for playing with a bow.

Bit confused tbh as bow is probably the 2nd best wep lol. I used a bow build to lvl all my off-arches to 30+
