#Reinforce the 'give feedback to receive feedback' rule in the #demo-feedback channel

I'd say completely ditch this rule. As a beginner you can't really give much proper feedback and people are just going to be giving minimum feedback for the sake of this rule
Well no that's not fair, this is a community and we're here to help each other out and not be selfish
Beginners can still give feedback, it might not be as specific but it's still good to get criticism from them
Well I can help people out once I'm good. Not much when I've just made my first ever song
And as far as I remember the rules for giving feedback were pretty strict
Either have this rule or make feedback high-quality only, both at once doesn't make a lot of sense and is unwelcoming to new producers
Also the rule doesn't make much sense, once you've given one feedback you can ask for infinite. And it's probably pretty hard to moderate as well
What I'd recommend:
Make feedback high-quality only and make some sort of reward for people who give a large amount of feedback. Like 10+ valid feedbacks (which could be set by moderators) giving a unique role for example. This way there is a lot of high-quality feedback and beginners don't feel forced to be saying something that might not make the most of sense
I think it can just be as simple as: any time you want to drop a track for feedback, give meaningful feedback to at least one person before you do
Well actually as a beginner you can probably still hear if a track gets repetitive, things aren't tuned correctly etc. Even small stuff like this is still useful feedback if it's also constructive
How would mods even enforce this?
If a beginner can tell it an expert certainly can. And beginners still can't give very amazing feedback, so if that's what you expect while still having this rule, then it's stupid
By literally asking people to give feedback to one person before they upload their track
How would they know though? They'd have to go through their message history which could very much be a pain
No as in they do it there and then before they upload their track
So you're saying it has to be right before they upload their track and can't happen at any time?
I don't know man, that seems much worse. I mean for a lot of tracks you can't say a whole lot and if someone already gives a lot of feedback it's gonna be harder to give more. Eventually a track's gonna have all the feedback it needs and then there are just gonna be people like repeating stuff n shit just so that they can post their stuff
You really can't expect quality feedback with this
Well tbh all I really want is fewer people just dropping their tracks in the feedback chat and not helping other people out too
Even just two simple positives and negatives to the person before is fine imo
@primal geyser I think we should rather make the people that do have a good ability of giving good feedback have a reason to give more. There currently is no reward for giving feedback (past the first one with your suggestion), and I feel like if there were, people would be much more motivated to give quality feedback
