Hello Support Team,

I am reaching out for assistance with my custom domain setup. I have followed all the instructions provided for adding the CNAME record to my hosting provider for the domain. The configuration appears to be correct, and the domain redirects to Railway. However, when I access the URL, I receive a "Not Found" error, and the website is currently unavailable.

Current Status: The domain shows as "Waiting for DNS update" in the Railway dashboard, but it has been several hours days the setup.
Error Message: When accessing the domain, I see "Not Found" and a suggestion that the connection is not private.
Steps Taken:
Added CNAME records for website.
Verified that the records are pointing correctly to Railway.
Checked the Railway dashboard for the domain status.
Cleared browser cache and tried accessing the site from multiple devices.
Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? Any guidance on what might be missing or any additional steps I need to take would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Best Regards,

Check
https://www.whatsmydns.net/
, usually it doesnt take a while for the dns to update.
most of user here uses cloudflare, as cloudflare is very good and ddos protection, it doesnt costs you making them your nameserver

That domain registrar does not support root level CNAMEs, please use Cloudflare instead, as the first message suggested.

Hi there,
This is a client's domain and I really don't want to move NS hosting, what alternatives do you have?

No other option, best and easiest option is cloudflare

@rocky horizon For the future- please refrain from doing that. There was also a $10 bounty up for this question which we unfortunately cannot award to you now.
