#mysql unable to change the image tag

I want as an user to deploy specific versions of the databases, not only choosing mysql and the version that the railway team defaults which is currently 9 (since a lot of times that version doesn't fill user requirements)

when i try to manually downgrade it from the image tag, it still doesn't let me, please fix this issue, the user should be able to choose the version and easy change it

Click on the volume, scroll down and wipe it

i wipe it, it's deployed, it could be helpfull for other users to mention that trick in the UI somewhere 😉

MySQL 9 released over a year ago

On my company they still use version 8 for everything, it's a company that handles thousands of money requests

#

so i guess they won't change the db version since it's working and they don't wanna mess it with an upgrade

You'll have to eventually 😃

For some reason this template has the incorrect port set in the TCP proxy settings.

Go into the settings of the service, scroll down to public networking, and click the trash next to the proxy. Then add a new one pointing to the port 1433. Deploy the service, and once it's deployed, reload the page. (It won't update unless you do...)

Use that new domain and public port it gives you.

i manually deleted the previous host
added the new one on port 1433,

on instance value i tried with: "railway" "master" and empty

#

did i work for u the connection?

everything worked,
just feedback, is that a bug, i mean, something to avoid the users to be automatically mapped to the right port ?

That's something that the template creator will have to fix unfortunately

i was thinking like, what if railway create their own repos for templates, so they don't rely on the users maintaining it

#

but just an idea

thanks again!
