#Discord bot offline after some hours

I set up a Discord bot 2 days ago, and yesterday I restarted it again after some testing. It worked fine for a couple of hours but it suddenly stopped working: the bot is offline and obviously does not react to any command.

In railway I don't see any logs indicating any crash or anything, the last one is actually the 'client ready' from yesterday. And according to railway it is still running. Why does this happen? Does Railway shut down or 'sleeps' free-tier projects after a period of inactivity?

I am considering leaving the free tier so I can have the full month, but still in the dev phase trying to figure out discord bots.

Checking the metrics tab, at 5:00 AM sharp all graphs went to 0, so it does look like an automated process that shut it down or smth similar

It was online for a couple hours, ran some commands. Then at 5:00 AM it suddenly went down

Try restarting the deployment

yeah that fixed it, but why did it suddenly stop?

that's the only thing in the logs. where I drew the line is when the 'going down' happened

reached out to the discordjs server, and it seems like some other people's servers went down for no reason (not in railway)

so it's unrelated to railway

thought bc of the free tier that it got throttled or smth
