Can you tell me the difference between `usage-based` and `credit-based` subscriptions?

Usage-based means you'll be billed for your usage at the end of the month.

For credit-based, you load credits and your deploys are active until you run out of credits.

1. Do I still get $5 free credit with the "credit-based sub"?

2. If I add $10 to my "credit-based sub" will your site charge me extra once this credit has all been used, or will my projects shut down?

Yes, and in this case when you use the 5 credit then the paid credits.

Think of the credit like a $5 discount on your useage automatically.
