Hey guys, I've been having an issue the last couple of days. While drafting on desktop (not app), in the puppy 3. Every time I'm scrolling the players list trying to star my targets all they way down, when a pick is made by someone, the list snap scrolls itself about 50 spots earlier than what I was just looking at. So if I'm down around pick 170, it auto scrolls back up to around 120. This is very frustrating when trying to set my queue for the rest of the draft.

For next year, before launching the bbm could there be a small tournament that uses the same draft pool? You guys can use it for customer acquisition, but it can also be used so that the draft from the first two days of the bbm don't have such insane adps.

not a bad idea - although part of the fun of drafting early in BBM (in my opinion) is looking for edges in the ADP. Like ideally you shouldn't be basing your entire draft on ADP. What do you think of that, or am I completely wrong?

Suggestion to end 3 person drafts for NFL. Been playing 20+ drafts for multiple 3 person draft / primetime games and every time the winning lineup is one that seems like 1 in a million odds of drafting. At that point the risk for collusion/cheating seems so relatively high and it’s not fun when luck with getting in a draft lobby with really bad players matters more than skill/knowledge. Naturally, luck always plays a role and sometimes you just get a good draft but I feel like 3 person drafts really push the limits of reasonableness.

See my post in #713032715938562140 for an example. Two lineups today won by over 8 points for MNF primetime largely by drafting Kupp at 1 and Deebo at 6… I did 26 drafts for this contest and not once did Deebo fall past 3. Seems like only 3 drafts in the entire contests were able to get Kupp and Deebo. And the winning drafts were almost comical how ridiculously great they were. It’s just not fun. 4 people or more please, as another person suggested, bind the primetime games up (MNFxTNF, TNFxSNF, SNFxMNF) and get it back to 6 person drafts. Love this product so much but this is not fun for dedicated users

Not everything will be done that is asked as there’s a lot of factors that go into how these games work - today was our first time introducing qb’s and k’s into the pool with full ppr. I hope that shows that we’re working on creative ways to make the solo game experience more enjoyable. Not everything is a quick overnight “fix”, games take time to build and test but I can say that introducing new creative formats is top of mind

I think it would be really great if we were able to set up who to swap to (rankings) for individual teams we have drafted. Example Landry being out, instead of him being swapped to potentially 1 player across the multiple teams - if we could specify a player for each individual team/draft that would be really great.

It’s fun to watch BBMIII teams climb the top 500 list but it is also super depressing to have $1MIL to #1 and $0 to all other reg season prizes. I can’t recommend enough creating a more sweeping prize pool for the regular season that in some way rewards those teams who smash the regular season. I’m sure it’s more complex to accomplish that but coming in #2 overall is the nut-worst outcome for anything betting (sports or otherwise). I would really hope that type of thing can be avoided in future years and that my team currently sitting in 88th either plummets or takes down first place!

So these targeted promos aren't going away. To be fully transparent there will always be promos targeted at specific groups to achieve specific actions.

That can be following social media pages, our partners, doing a specific action in the app, (ex: entering a BR, participating in a private draft) etc.
We want people engaged in our discord and actively following our social media, so that's where you'll find links to promo sign ups.

What we could potentially look into is sending an in-app push reminding people to join our community/follow us when a promo sign-up form is live.

Just a suggestion, all good if you keep everything the way it is, but I noticed CBB limits were raised to $500 today. I think that is great, and it makes sense IMO to raise limits now that we are into conference play and have a larger sample size/slightly sharper lines likely with more attention overall on CBB, so props to you guys for that. I think with CBB being $500 and NBA being $2,000 (which to me are both very fair limits, no complaints there), NFL should also be $2,000 since it is the sharpest props market around with the most eyes on it, especially now that it's playoffs (although if NBA reg season limits are $2k, I think maybe NFL should be too).

Again, no worries at all if you keep things the way they are, just something that stood out to me. Love the pick'em product on the whole!

The reason being is that they do multiple promotional events like taco Tuesday, flex Friday, and just offer 0.5 for a player prop which gets people to want to bet! You’re losing revenue and clientele that you shouldn’t be losing due to the lack of getting people excited to get involved and bet! Just an idea! i enjoy rivals as something exclusive to underdog, a possible promo moving forward that can make use of the "underdog" brand is maybe offering boosted payouts for picking an "underdog" in a rival in exchange for the spread, for example: if there's a big match between clippers and mavs and luka would normally favor by 4.5 points over kawhi, you can offer a boosted payout to people who choose kawhi but make it a rival where there's no spread and a straight head to head

probably more thought needs to go into this idea but just an idea for starters to capitalize on the underdog name and further distinguish the underdog app from other apps

Before I dive into any of this, I would first like to acknowledge that there are multiple questions that sit here for over a week and they go unanswered. If it’s not immediate, I wouldn’t be exactly angry without it being a “why is my account shutdown” situation. I try to help direct people on what may be their issue or to use the account help tab because they’re being skipped over. As far as my personal account, I’m fine at the moment. I’ve luckily only had one personal ticket and it was a minor situation that was handled relatively fast. I am desiring some knowledge on a few topics that many people are asking about on here and other discords. 1: what happened to esports? There’s seeming to be a lot of line removal and plenty of times I’ve seen ONE single line for a game (including no rivals available outside of that one player). Would any of you explain the reasoning for this? 2: 2H line movement/exposure for NBA: there is an extremely short window for us to set our lines in (5-10 minutes usually). If that’s our window, why does UD consistently remove the lines and almost ensures we have no chance to even bet on the line(s)? We should be given an opportunity to bet on these lines or we should have lines set right before it’s halftime so that we have more time to see the lines. The variety is lacking and there is no clarity to any of it? Working on it is fine, but sharing details with your community in honor of how much business you may be losing would make logical sense. Lacking transparency to your clients should in theory lose you profit. I’m not trying to come off “threatening” or overall displeased. I have been using UD for around 2 years. It’s just kind of a shame when the company has finally grown to a point that it could afford a better social platform but still refuses to to enlighten or give any details to why we can’t bet on the already fairly limited pool of players. It’s beginning to feel like, for some states - especially those with college being unavailable, that the NBA is practically the only constant that’s available. Baseball and football are not around yet, and that’s not the company’s fault obviously. Having minimal esports, limitations placed on college, atypical delays on tennis matches, etc... All of these issues are showing extreme limitations and counterintuitive to what you’re hoping for. “…as much variety as possible” doesn’t entail taking away options. I do believe it would mean that you ensure that there would be more opportunities. Taking away over/under lines to manipulate your community into having to use rivals, where some still typically have only one/the same player as the Over/Under option, is not exactly creating variance. I am not trying to show malice, but this is a very terrible look for the company and it’s transparency to details.

I'm speaking specifically of the #┊💌・product-feedback channel, and for people like myself, @indigo beacon and a few others. We operate on the product and engineering side, so we will jump in here to provide product information on Underdog Fantasy as a whole. We have much less to do with the product offering (what selections and rivals and sports are available), but we can occasionally speak to that as well.
We have social media team and a support team and a product operations team (handling those offerings I mentioned earlier), and they jump in on discord and twitter and our other socials to respond to questions - although they can't always answer product question or respond to feedback (sometimes feedback is just that, and doesn't require an answer).
When I say that 'we' jump in here when we have time, I'm referring to those of us that build the product, write the code and make the designs.

I don't think there's any malice in your responses, you're just trying to get answers - I hope you don't find any malice in my replies. I'll answer a few more things:

I actually can't speak to this that much, as that's more a product operations question - and when I personally look at esports it always looks like a pretty good offering. At the time of writing this there are like 50+ different higher/lowers in the lobby, I presume that's good.
If there are less picks available, then it could be that there are less games, or that it's difficult to predict a projection, or that our main esports guy is away - there are humans on the other side of this.
The majority of pick removal is automated, we have a few checks in place in case we start getting clobbered on a bad projection - the vast majority of the time, if a selection is removed that's automatic, rather than a person doing it. You'll notice this happening closer to the kick-off of a game/match because that's when we get the most traffic and those checks get triggered the most.

This is a new feature, 2H offerings (available the last few months), and it's something that we're iterating on. Currently it's pretty manual, and the nature of a 2H projection is that there isn't a lot of time to calculate what the projection should be and then to also post it to the lobby - and being a 2H projection there isn't a lot of time for you, as a player of pick'em, to get an entry in.
It's obviously much easier for us to calculate what a 2H projection should be, if we know the score of the player in the 1st half - so that doesn't leave a very big window for us to create the projection and then to post it and for you to then use it. Right now that is the nature of how it is working.
As for selections coming down, given this is a new offering for us (2H projections), we're easing into and being especially cautious with what we're offering - so those automated checks that I mentioned earlier, are even more sensitive for 2H projections. So if we get a lot of traffic, they're likely to go down. As we get more confident in our offerings/projections, those checks will become less sensitive.

I’m not expecting these sorts of dialogue for every form of question to ever get asked, but I’ve been in this specific channel for a little over a week or two and have seen multiple people ask about these questions with no clarity. I do appreciate having these finally answered. I do apologize for clogging your channel; there are just many people I know who have also been trying to figure this situation out with no results to show for it. I assumed there was some sort of an algorithm, but the confirmation is helpful. As far as the overall number of picks, it has less to do with the total availability and mass of people wanting to do SGP (same game parlay) styles of props. I don’t personally know a lot of say CSGO, but I do know League of Legends. I’m a sleepless person, so at my 2-3am times of night when I can look at league lines, they’re gone. I’ve seen multiple instances of games having one line available. You can compare this to earlier in the day, a time where I personally can’t look at lines or to another fantasy app; I am unable to use many other apps because of state limitations. There are often less available lines for League of Legends (LoL) or CSGO, especially in comparison to before. There were game-stacks available for CSGO of 4 picks minimum; now there are typically 1-3 lines available. LoL often drops from 5-6 picks when the board drops directly to 1-2 lines available including Rivals within a few hours. I understand there are people on the other side of this; there are people on both sides. If someone steps away, I would not be mad at them. That’s life. I would not want to work my life away, but much like every other company, a project that uses active lines will not go without a line maker. That is why in my first response I asked if there were any full/part time employees placed in or around this section of UD for line creation or general support for social platforms.

Overall, thank you for enlightening me of what is happening a little more. I understand not wanting to put details out on projects, but even if the details leak and turn out they need to be rescinded, it should be fine to display. I am unsure if you are familiar with RiotGames, and generally, I will say nothing positive due to how they balance their games; however, I will give them a pedestal for their clairvoyance. They may do changes or announce things that make the player base unhappy, but they put it on earlier display to get feedback before putting it out. I am unsure about how involved UD or production wants the community involved in company thoughts, but it’s not a terrible idea based on what I’ve personally seen. Again, I’m sorry for the clog. I do hope to see the company grow more; I just feel like there are things lacking from the public approach.

There have been multiple examples of this in my personal experience. Myles Turner 2nd half 3 pointers. He went into the half showing he had 2 3point shots made and his line was showing at 2.5 O/U. That seems like a fair line for a center who barely shoots 3s. Turned out, he only had a single 3 pointer made and it stat corrected in the middle of the 3rd quarter. People got shafted on that because it was actually him needing to make 2 in the 2nd half rather than 1. A Quentin Grimes line that I took for 2H: he was showing that he had 7 points and needed to get to 9.5 or 10.5. I can’t remember which because this a couple of weeks ago. Anyways, he went into the half showing he had 6 or 7 points. Taking the over seemed like fair value. Turned out Grimes had only 3 points, which again stat corrected in the middle of the 3rd. Watching a player lose points at random isn’t exactly what you want to see in your bet unless you knew of the stat already or took his under. I wouldn’t assume we would have to double check lines before we take them, but sometimes it seems we should

Yeah, definitely frustrating and I see why that would be annoying - we're working on trying to live update those scores on the screen (in which case we may be able to post projections sooner, don't quote me on that though), but that won't solve everything, and there will still be cases where our stat provider is wrong.
What we're attempting to do is pass on to you the information that we have at the time, but we acknowledge that it might not be the most up to date score. Definitely double check the games on tv, or the box scores if you're worried about them. It's also annoying for us that the stat providers can be inaccurate - like we don't want to be passing on bad information - the alternative would be not showing anything at all though

All good. I’m just meaning that if there is an algorithm to protect from bad lines (over use) shouldn’t there be a way to protect customers from misinformation? Intentional or not, people do get their money blown on these things. The other option doesn’t seem to be of two extremes “risk of possibly wrong information” or “no information at all”. If there are middle ground and fine-toothed ways to protect from certain situations already, then there just needs to be a way to have stats confirmed before being placed onto a table. I’m assuming that your stats are connected directly to ESPN stat checkers. If they correct something, then yours does it automatically as if it’s a piggy back type of connection. Is there any way to find a secondary site or confirmation page to divide work efforts? I’m not an engineer or a developer so I may be thinking a little freely and out of real possibility. In my head it seems like it could divide work efforts and make less errors or data issues pop up if there are triggers to protect from a bad line just as well.

My only main concern with us checking stats personally is that I have to continually close out the app and reload it all because of the insane lag. Most of the time the picks are gone because I can’t even just look at the players profile that UD has listed because then it lags out again. I stand my firm on an algorithm check for errors if that’s a possibility, but if it’s not, the lag over the last 3 weeks should be addressed to allow fair chance and not to rush picks, especially if we are told to not 100% trust stats shown to us ever

What will be happening shortly is that if a stat correction comes in while a projection is in the lobby, the score will update - I think this work is due to come out within the next couple of weeks (provided testing and everything goes well). I think the majority of the time the stats will be correct, but there are times when the numbers we have and other providers have and espn have might all be wrong. This is something that can happen unfortunately, like the other night most places had Grimes wrong. We are working on making improvements though

2H has higher traffic than normal obviously if the servers crash every time I just open the app. I can’t place bets most of the time on 2H NBA. Servers either need to be maintained for the level of traffic or we need lines earlier than Halftime. We have sub 5 minutes make/submit picks when the app won’t stop freezing when we just try to scroll. I’m not the only person with this problem. If this isn’t fixed, it’s a waste of y’all’s time to post 2H, and it’s a waste of our time trying to use the app during this time frame.

Likely won’t get that in product feedback unless you brew up a storm of “wtf is happening”. The responses in this section are very very low. If you ask a question, it’s a 40/60 chance they respond because it’s not necessarily part of their job I think. NFL Rankings 2023 Inquiry:

Problem:
When I make my own rankings or when I upload a csv for rankings, I have to manually count each player to find out that I have - ex: Mark Andrews ranked 27th - amongst all others in the player pool. This seens time-wastey when I try to set my rankings while accounting for ADP. I also do not know the exact ranking I have for a player while drafting. I only can see the ADP and the players before and after them.

Possible Solution:
There is a big space in the middle of each “player title”(Name, team, projection, ADP) where no information is displayed. If someone is using Rankings seperate from ADP, can Underdog fill that space in with the exact number that player ranks in that someone’s rankings. The Name of the player can even be shifted to the right so that a ranking number can be inserted left of the name.

Extra:
The Rankings do say how many players you have put into the ranking list, but their is no number specifying the order in which one has their players in. Implementation of this ranking number will be a huge help in comparing your rankings to ADP when drafting. Love the app, hope this change can be made.

Could we spend a little more on customer support? Also upgrading the software to be more transparent would be helpful. Let me tell my story to illustrate my points.

1. I attempt to withdraw my funds, all show as withdrawable.
2. After a few days, checking my bank, none of the funds are there. I received no communication from Underdog that the withdraw was cancelled, nor was there a reason given. (This is where upgrading the software to be transparent would be nice)
3. Checking my UD account, I find that the funds are back BUT NOW more than a 3rd are shown as "Bonus" and not withdrawable.
4. I send an email to support asking what happened, and inquiring if the balance can be fixed to what it was before the attempted withdraw.
5. I wait a full week for a response. (Here is where we need to spend more on customer support..)
6. The response I get immediately accuses me of "entering and leaving drafts in an attempt to withdraw your bonus funds". Here is again where we could use better customer support. I have had my account for two years, making my initial deposit that long ago. I never attempted to withdraw prior to the attempt described here. CERTAINLY I have entered and left drafts before, surly most people do? If I was "Entering and leaving drafts in order to withdraw my bonus", isn't it logical that I would have done so much sooner? If the UD system can't handle when someone joins and leaves drafts, or has had problems with it in the past, why immediately accuse a paying customer of attempting to manipulate bonus funds? Maybe in the end the result is the same, but "Sorry, our system had a glitch and your bonus funds were showing wrong" (along with proof and more explanation) is much better customer service then going straight to accusations of rule breaking.

I've responded to the support e-mail, but I don't expect to get a reply for another week. I think my feedback stands, regardless of the outcome from here out.

Yes a dashboard of sorts, that would display how well you're doing for that day/week/month etc! How you would resolve if you had a leg that was for today, but 3 legs for tomorrow for example, then the legs with the furthest date would prevail in the grouping! I believe it would give all of us crucial data if we had a dashboard to track our stats!
