Let me use this as an example: Logan is inspired/adapting Old Man Logan, yet it doesn’t follow the story at all. Why is it still good though? Cause it still follows the story thematically: an old and weathered Wolverine going on across the United States on a dramatic, western-style adventure.

If Intelligencia was say, The Leader’s organization (this would’ve been the perfect show to set him up) trying to get She-Hulk’s blood due to his fascination with the Hulks, that would’ve been different but thematically the same since A) includes a member from the source material and B) trying to achieve supervillain goals through a string of different sources of information.
