you can host a server on your own machine and portforward
any serverhost offering free will either be underpowered or not let you use your own packs
Ok, thanks.
aternos is underpowered
considering it's a free host. it also doesn't let you host custom packs. only preapproved ones
yeah i use aternos because idk how to make my own servers with like ips and stuff
I can host you one if you want for free not underpowerd.
Could you?
or could you tell me how?
Ye
I did that and I got a error message
I think it was because of a certain mod or few mods
Probbaly not, i will try that
client side mods on server = server crash
would this run like a singleplayer world or like a multiplayer one, since i do want it to run smooth
That would be an Multiplayer world.
It's a server so yes multiplayer world
because you are not paying anything the service will likely give the bottom of the barrel systems
paid services give stronger machines
alternatively you can selfhost and port forward
aternos cant host the pack as there needs to be a way to download the server files thru curseforge
aternos only allows packs they have approved
and their machines are underpowered
also aternos will shut the server down and reallocate resourses if it sees the server is struggling, it will close and allocate more ram
good for vanilla. not for modded
you get what you paid for
truee
if i had the files i would self host xD
im just bad at compiling what i need to host manually
you would only need to remove the client side mods
CLI to help you setup your own modpack servers for Minecraft: Java Edition
cf also have this
as well as this as a guide

port forwarding is where you hide your ip, correct?
no port forwarding is where you set a rule in the router to forward traffic coming in to a device inside your network
in this case port 25565 to the machine running the server
👌
(25565 is the commonly used port for MC)
im to stupid to do it XD
Should i make you one?
if you wanna that wold be helpfull
