i don't see anything wrong with the gcode generated from orca
I am not sure how the Cura profile is letting the machine know it's in volumetric mode?
its not, its set in absolute mode
Then there is something wrong in the machine setup? Notice the E values for Cura's skirt

GG @half ore, you just advanced to level 2!
it would seem the Cura values (in volumetric mode) is what the machine is using for "linear" mode?
Or did I misunderstand?
thats the difference between relative and absolute
M83 sets relative mode and you have that
Just ran a quick test by adding M200 in my print start macro Volumetric extrusion is disabled for this input, filament diameters: 1.750
I can also confirm, keeping the same Start Gcode, Cura fails to print when I set the Gcode flavor to Marlin (i.e not volumetric)
does it do anything at all?
i would also suggest reducing the microstepping. i would say x64 is too much
It does, but it extrudes minuscule amounts..
what type of extruder do you have?
The Bondetech LGX
ah! will explore, thanks!
Gonna do re-check my Esteps using the 100mm method.. Looks like my E300 is quite wrong. ๐ฆ
good idea
Solved the issues for now with whacky Esteps (~800) I guess I also need to fix the microstepping?
It would seem the original calibration was done in volumetric mode, which has lead to funk slicing all these years ๐
you have x32 on E so about 800 is correct
