I disagree completely, there needs to be more guidance but the quest is literally "go find him on the map" then do 1 thing for him and he teleports back to the town.

Some of the later NPCs require more steps but the traders themselves are quite easy.

Lacking in direction/guidance maybe rewrite the quest text to specifically state where they are (maybe it does I didnt read it) but I had no issues.

What quest gives the first trader?

I unlocked the medical lady and the dwarf but neither of them seem to be traders
