Yall comment in the wrong thread lol?
one exists already
Outdated for a few years and has a different name if ur talking about the drift box one
Might rename it tho anyway then
OEM+ or realism pack something, since it’s gonna have all realistic upgrades
Wdym there's another active with lore friendly Honda motor
Mine isnt lore it’s just straight up IRL Honda engine specs, it has one of every displacement. So for B-series i have B16B, B18C5, and B20B JDM. F-series has F20C, F22A1, etc.
Its mostly for people who wanna remake their own car, like I made the k24w1 engine that’s in my accord and the 0-60, 0-120, gear ratio, weight displacement etc makes it exact to real life
Do you know when this will be realised and will it be free?
I have to make custom long block torque curves for each engine since I have to keep the default one as is, so I’ll probably release one series at a time, starting with B-series so I can release it faster. I’d say a week a most
And yes free
Okay, great, I'm looking forward to your mod.
Motivated me to work on it and i find out i gotta pay to see torque curve values on automobile-catalogue now 😂
thank god its only $5 rn but ofc that happens when i start using it lolll
Managed to get a good chunk done today, might be out way sooner now
Oh shit 🤣
yes take the time you need 🤝
the super lightweight config 😂
bro that auto HDR is annoying theres gotta be a way to disable it on screenshots
Anyways first version of the mod will be out tomorrow, im just messing with it making sure everything functions. For engines this release will have
Ill let yall discover the goodies ive added too, i wont spoil much else. next update will be f-series and more configurable parts
Please add itb on the b16b 🙏🤌
All intakes will be available including superchargers 👍
Anti-lag option for all turbos as well
@root where can i get this?
I’m gonna drop it in like 4-5 hours, i wanna test a couple more things and then I’ll just let u guys mess around with it
still working on engine sounds but heres a preview for yall to mess with
superchargers and twin turbos do work but have weird back pressure issues i didnt fix, so dont mind that
just select Honda Unibody in the body style menu. Try out my VTEC mod along side it too, just updated it: #1371923036873293855 message
@honest fossil @serene sundial
wheres the motor mounts?
This is why I need yall lolol. Forgot to put it back in
lol all good gonna do more testing later
im gonna remove all coreSlots as well so you can select "Empty" for any part, so u can slowly get rid of the whole car if you wanted lol
Sneak peak of what will be added at some point, and this isn't even the physical upgrades, just the ECU stuff.
basically end game mod pack lmaoo, once you've build every config you'll download this crap 😂 . all powertrain variables will be editable, so for example you could make an old crappy mechanical gearbox or a snappy f1 style gearbox
yes the mod is good for beginners, are you going to make a real engine appearance later?
Unfortunately engine sounds are probably the most I’ll get to as I’m already spending a lot of time learning how beamng simulates engines and powertrains. I’ve only started making mods a couple weeks ago
If I get involved w blender and all that I know I’ll be spending 90% of my dev time on that 😂
yes I understand, the mod is really not bad just missing the real engine power curves.
Wdym? The actual power curves are 1:1 to IRL data
For example, this is the data I used for the B16B (ek9 civic) https://www.automobile-catalog.com/curve/1997/1116260/honda_civic_type-r.html#gsc.tab=0
1997 Honda Civic EK9 Dyno:
Also note that powertrain loss will affect it, there will be an option for Zero Torque Loss through the menus eventually too if someone wanted to see the difference
My bad, I expressed myself poorly.
I wanted to talk about the fact that when I put on an ITB, I gain 40HP.
Oh ok! I haven’t adjusted any values yet, is it unrealistic? What kind of power gains would it usually give?
But yes, the curves are good for the stock engine.
My goal would be to make it pretty realistic
Would 20 horsepower be better? And maybe when I get to the more detailed upgrades, you can change stuff like throttle body size to maximize high end power, or runner length for a flatter or a more peak-y torque boost for low end power
So many things I could make better with multiplicative math, like the ITB would give more power depending on what long block you have. But if I did that, it wouldn’t be allowed on the repo for editing main game code 😦
Yes, it's really a good idea to be able to choose the length of the trumpets etc.
What would be preferred for the next update- Fseries engines, drivetrain upgrades, transmission upgrades, or intake upgrades
Intake upgrade i think
new update ?
bro serious ?
