This map is a work in progress and it's still in an early stage.
The Beta 0.10 version can be downloaded from the repo: https://www.beamng.com/threads/mount-iwaki-japan.102623/

In this first release it features the Tsugaru Iwaki Skyline, a 9.5Km road with 2 missions:
- 8Km long Drift Challenge
- Night Touge downhill race
The finished map will have Rally stages, Offroad and Crawling tracks, and more...

Most assets are original or modified Beamng assets. All the buildings will be custom made to match real life ones.

thecheyy's maps are great, but they are ported from another game and as far as i am aware they only have one road. This one is made from scratch for beamng and it will be a full size 4x4km map made from 1:1 real life satellite data. It will have the Iwaki skyline road (9.5km long) and also the surrounding area which will include rally stages, offroad and rock crawling trails, and maybe some more stuff..

Sounds good. What I mean is will it look as picturesque as Techeyy's? Techeyy's have a very realistic feel to them. Also yeah the maps are ported from one of the old Initial D games

Is this specifically just a drift map?

i am trying my best to make it look realistic, but making all assets from scratch would take too long, so most of the vegetation will be from beam (as they are in techys maps too) and if you are a plant guy you will surely know that some of the plants don't even grow in japan! but for the overall look they will be fine, i will also modify some textures to make them more similar to real life... at the end of the day the looks of a map is very subjective, so you'll be the judge...
