RLS career overhaul

it'd be pretty cool if the devs of RLS set up OGC TWO as a compatible map since it has four major maps in it and would be awesome to have stuff going between each area

30fps in VR is super playable as long as you have some way to improve the smoothing

idk I've been playing with Virtual Desktop's synchronous spacewarp enabled at 45fps on a i7 10750H 2070M Max-Q for a few days and have had zero issues with traffic
though I can only have 5 visible traffic I can max out the pooled traffic with ease
I'll definitely be trying for 60fps spacewarp when my new pc is finally built and working
I wanna try and save up for a good pc as well
i'm also hoping that having the ai control menu won't slow ui navigation to a crawl on the new pc

if you have traffic spawned in you can drive a police car and every so often you will see top right "X is fleeing from you" and you can chase the ai down and bring their car to a stop.

Make sure your springs, and dampers are properly balanced, stiffen the front swaybars, and learn how to set your chamber and toe properly

I had a technical question related to the outgage protocol for one of the devs or someone else who is experienced in implementing it. Essentially I have used the protocol but was looking to see if there was an additional way to capture the max speed and redline RPM of the current vehicle. This would be used to push dynamic values to a speedometer and tachometer. Certain vehicles speedos have higher max speeds, and redline is unique per vehicle as well as rpm range. I would like to capture those values via outgage

hi, i have very stupid issue with lightbar controller on my lightbar, i have two modes, Standard/Convoy, and 4 types of lights: fornalbelka_l, fornalbelka_r, fornalbelka_l_b and fornalbelka_red, _l_b and _red are two different meshes in .dae, but in the same coords, i want to change _l_b from standard to _red in convoy mode, but it starts to bugging very seriously, i cant understand why, i tried many combinations, even changing coords in blender, making custom materials, duplicating materials, using materialovverading (or sth like this), even chatgpt said im in deep a**, so maybe you have solution? i know it should work, but the way i made it probably doesnt work bruh, i just finished 3 hours working on it and probably will give up for few days ahh

Btw for MT gearbox, the brake hold in the Hirochi CCF mod was timer-based, but the Honda system was more clutch slip ratio/clutch pressure based according to my time riding the heck out of the clutch on my 11th gen Civic Si.

yeah and in beam alot earlier then in essentially any other game, because of how the vehicles are made. in other games you at best have a couple vecs describing a vehicle (pos, vel, dir, rot..) but in beam every node has its own vecs and since the cars are made of many the imprecision can quickly affect the vehicle
in other games a vehicle is at best just described with where it is and what it does. but in beam it describes every node, the relations they are in and it calcs all the forces that happen inbetween all of them. that is why the cars get wobbly at far distance

I have no idea what to search for to see if this has already been asked, tried but no dice. Is there a way around self-referencing a part slot? Or is the only way to do it via code like the wheel spacers mod? For context, I'm working on a scissor door mod that currently has to have every variant of door re-added with a scissor option. It would be far easier to have a jbeam for the door hinge that can then have any of the existing doors work with it

nope self referencing doesnt work, i tried, it works in jbeam but the ui imploded in a way i had to restart the entire game
that was in 0.35 i could try again
your best bet is to use the "extra mod" slot that all vanilla cars have to have a jbeam that overrides the stock beams/triggers of the door
Agh dammit, I though that might be the case. I'd rather not go down the extra mod route as they still work fine with the doors, its just more effort on my part to include the extra jbeam parts
in a similar vein, is it possible to detect if a given mesh is found and just not display the option if its not? As I could include most common mod parts and have the option hide itself if the mesh doesn't exist

aka its a deformgroup leak
imagine that when the game interprets all the meshes instead of separated by file they are all in a massive list that contains all the meshes and their properties, so if you dont put that last line, the deform group you set for that mesh is also applied to the rest of the meshes below it

that can also happen with breakgroup leaks, if you dont close it, all the beams after the end of your section will also be broken and basically cause half of the car to implode

So Iāve had an issue for a little thatās affected a few things, one of my USB devices has random jittery input on some part I canāt locate physically, and one of the problems Iāve been having is with Enhanced Chase Camera where that jittery axis input is transferred to the in game game and itās nauseating. Iāve tried looking through not only ECCās settings, controls in game, and even the LUA code for the mod itself and I cannot seem to find where this input is

Your best bet is to look up when that version got released and look throu the repo on the website and download old mods with similar first release date (you can download old mod versions from the versions history tab)
