Oh also, while I'm at it, I've refactored the file layout. Take a look at now (first pic) vs. the original project (second pic). Having the CSS and HTML all in one file gets messy quick so it's so nice to have it separated.
(Should say the old pic is after I learnt how to import external images... base64 encoded images in one file was a horrific thing.)

You calculate the current L per km by dividing the used fuel with the distance moved. If you are not moving it either just adds to the used fuel without end, since you are never reaching the next distance marker, or it divides by zero.
Calculating L per distance of a vehicle that does not move any distance is impossible

Wondering if anyone wants to join me [it's not necessary but would help speed things along].... someone familiar with Lua and beamng.drive lua-specific plugin functions and arguments etc.
The project utilizes the crash dummy in the driver seat for the time being...as time goes on i'd like to have my own driver model but if i happen to get to a releasable stage and am without a new asset i'll simply need to get permission.
What is the mod about?
The mod is for people that have an interest in seeing extended customization for people of interest
For people who want an extra form of realism to the mod.
For people who simulate crashes to gauge how survivable a vehicle crash would be.
What IS this mod?
It's temp mod name will be "beamNG.Person [will inevitably change].
The mod uses a simulated human driver that has his own damage-capabilities meaning it will be able to display data relating to extremely detailed and sophisticated TEXT [and in the future will utilize a vgui] that displays a plethora of info on the "human/crash-dummy" driver [mod], such as the following:
LIMBS [upper and forearm, wrist and hand, fingers and the injured one[s] END PART ONE
TORSO [ribs, abdomen, shoulders, back, spine
head [forehead, temple, nape, top, ears]
CONSCIOUSNESS [boolean determines y or n but if y then it goes into details such as: Comatose, Fading]
FRACTURES AND BREAKS [in bones and more]
ORGANS [E.G. "Spleen has ruptured", "Right lung collapsed", "Brain damage", "Heart stopped"]
external bleeds [Any external part of the body that had {severe or otherwise} impact at sufficient speed based on [body parts' place of bleed, what material/part caused the bleed}
The place of impact is the main decider for whether a bleed takes place or not. "Head hit windshield" for instance will cause less chance of dmg to "consciousness" and a higher chance for survivability than if "Head hit dashboard".]
EXAMPLE OF DETAILED BLEED INFORMATION [x]limb made contact with [D.DOOR] at [x:xx:xx.xx] with a force of [x] joules and the friction of said limb was [x] and ended it's friction-damage starting at [x time to end of contact] [boolean of yes or no]. This friction caused [will list ALL possible friction injuries, with the ones the player received being filled in and the injuries not sustained will be viewable but the text will have low opacity].

Driver is DEAD{player can click any bolded text to go to the injury that caused it, so in this example he:} [HEAD > TOP + NAPE > Fatality caused by Crushed skull upon FINAL crash wherein the driver's head was crushed by roof cave in at [xx:xx:xx.xx]. {Additional Information?} [the 'added info' will only be viewable/displayed if there is more detail to the death itsself, such as it's entirely possible that the cave in roof is what caused it but only when the caved in roof hit [x material such as metal, wood, dirt, stone, tarmac, concrete and more the ground with a force of [x joules] for the [x] time at [xx:xx:xx.xx]. another example could be "was dragged on tarmac for 54m before loss of consciousness and upon reaching 62m DEATH has occured.
tons more detail and information i won't list but this will give you the general idea of the mod and its purpose and demonstrate the value of utilizing this mod; there will be absolutey no violence/gore/representations of injuries however there will be consequences of injuries to your vehicle handling performance; e.g. if your left leg is broken you won't be able to clutch. If your right wrist and hand are broken you will only have one hand to turn the wheel and based on what type of wheel used and the degree of rotation for max turning rate; meaning if it's a stock steering wheel then turning will be near impossible going faster than 15mph/30kph And if any right sided limb is unusable an you're in an older car with a standard transmission then you will not be able to shift/change gears UNLESS there are paddle shifters AND EVEN SO with a right sided limb injury you wont be able to shift for more speed/less RPM but if it is the other side then the opposite will occur allowing you to shift down to 3, 4 + but incapable of shifting back END OF MESSAGE
just to reiterate this mod does not promote or display violence, blood or any gore. In fact the driver model/asset will more than likely not change no matter if an arm was severed completely or even decapitation..
It's purpose is to simulate in the same simulative conditions from the base beamNG.drive game itself. But for now utilizing simple text to display what happened. Sliding sideways into a tree at 80mph will cause a plethora of injuries but you'll likely notice it displays more severe injuries for whatever part of the body that was impacted upon.
I even plan to utilize airbags, and create a beam from the node in the drivers hand and also fingers to the steering wheel. if it goes off [in certain cars] and both hands gripping the wheel are at risk of broken thumbs [which won't necessarily mean the limb is unusable because if you're trying to flee from a pursuit and your hand is broken then you'll still be able to steer [pursuit or no pursuit: was used for example].
I'll also be diving deep into the use or lack thereof a player wearing his seatbelt. [ejections from car will be entirely possible whether it's out the windshield or a missing window and can be saved from further injuries had the driver remained in a car or could cause potentially fatal injuries such as the vehicle rolling and crushing the driver.
Glass damage is a big part too i cant believe i forgot to add this one..
GLASS INJURIES The driver is [temporarily or permanently] blind due to broken glass injuring his: Eyes[left-100 percent blinded, right-not blinded but small fragments are in and around the eye causing limited perception and sight
Injuries will be able to be reset after each incident or left alone, though for the time being i've made the ability for resetting the injuries at the same time as resetting the vehicle damage to make things a bit more realistic but this can be disabled. The injuries should reflect the severity of the crash in just as detailed of fashion as the game itsself attributes to it's soft-bodied [node and beam'd] form of sophisticated vehicle damage. Every form of injury is currently limited to 5-7 states/conditions based on the severity of said injury. hand goes: hurt/bruised and painful, Severely bruised, Hairline fracture, severe fracture, broken bone[s], shattered bone[s], flattened bones incapable of being fixed.
This applies to every form of injury. You could have a heart attack even. You can break your spine and be unable to walk.

you dont need to extract mods, all you need to do is get the zip you got from the site and put it in the mods folder in your userfolder

Anyone here know why the colour orange doesn't really work with BeamNG's PBR materials? The R20 has had Orange as an option, but with PBR paint it looks kinda dull and brown. I have tested the Vivace too, and I just can't seem to get a nice looking bright orange (similar to say an orange Lotus Elise paint colour).
Is it that orange paint IRL relies on fluorescence to make it pop and that isn't available, or blue lighting from sky muddying the colour? Or have I lost the plot entirely? xD

Hopefully I can also add a way to entirely hide it temp. In ETS you can toggle full/reduced/hidden with F3 - mine has full/reduced in settings but going to make it so if you right click it'll hide temporarily
But vs. removing it entirely, it'll keep tracking distance, fuel consumption, etc
