thats the same problem I had I just had to learn the basics and teach my self pretty much ive just gotten good from doing things and making projects

If they're using their own textures, not from the game or the textures are copied into its own file so when the game updates it shouldn't break the mod , like how the hyper bolide survived because its got all the old bolide stuff copied over
Hi guys, i was intensely into lua [matter of fact it was the first language i learned and it gave me the fundamental understanding of coding about 13-14 years ago when garry's mod [the free mod] first came out i became obsessed with making cool mods and then gmod[10]/the one you buy was released and it had double the coding reach than it had before.
Anyways that's my history in lua. I've been doing a lot of java/script, nodejs, typescript, objective c, and of course...kua...
I have yet to immerse myself in mod making for beamNG as i'm often building mods for other games using javascript, json, and js [for SPT-aki] and i wanna know if the experts can answer me a question...
So since placing a ragdoll with weight for every limb and piece and even an ability to enable the seatbelt...this mod got me thinking about researching as many fatal car accidents, miracle accidents, random chaos-creating accidents [like falling rocks or broken bridges etc].
I want to place an entity in the car that retains all information that will be viewable with maybe a UI or something; and then I want to set very short lasting functions that upon the games x, y, z initial impact force in joules and ft-pounds of energy and everytime the game registers another collision with the host entity that MY entity END PART ONE WAIT FOR SLOWMODE
would be in. So if you place the ent in to a car or place or whatever... it will always log to a .txt that i'm able to begin to interpret and create a realistic conversion for my [mods] "player displayed data" from the registers of impact.
I think if done right and i can get community support and enjoyment then it has a multitude of applications.
say hitting 200mph into a tree, and if you're wanting to know the mods reaction then you could use this sandbox to virtually check the mods output results. Say you had a heavy box in the back and you slam full speed into a semi; i'd like to know how likely the fatality of the collision came from the car or the box as it crushes the entire cab from behind.
It would have an enormous host of options and we can find out just how much a roll cage would prevent impact to the ent that's inside the car. I've got some math forumalas to sort in proper order so that players using the mod can input their own variables [ie put a smaller lighter ragdoll in the back, perhaps in a baby seat. If i can receive back accurate representations of these kinds of things i think it would be usefuk for specific people. not the entire beamNG community

i was toying around in automation, and an idea came to me, and i wanted to know if it would be possible. i thought, why not modify the engine and suspension physics of my automation mod I'm remastering so that they can be customized? (tuned, customized etc...) i have seen it done before but would it also be possible to put in a completely new engine model? this way, i could add some more customization to the vehicle for a higher quality mod. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

All of my modes worked perfectly in ver 23
now in 24, none get accepted anymore and everyone gets an error like: "Mod X invalid"
they work perfectly in single player and are always up to date
but none of the updated mod copied to the client server in BEAMP works anymore
the server works fine but with no mods.
client server folder I wanted to say, that's where they are copied, unless that path is wrong or something now

yeah, 0.24 broke some mods, even mine broke cause they removed data.objects[k].vel[a], which allowed you to get a specified vehicle's (defined by k) speed in the x, y or z axis (specified by a, 0-2)

this isnt really the same tho, this just gets its speed, and then uses its current direction to try to somewhat guess its velocity
like if the vehicle starts spinning, the numbers are gonna go wild

do know if you use fusion 360 you will need to retopo it in something like blender
fusion 360 is CAD software so it doesnt care about polycount/topo

Hi guys, I've created a custom asset in Blender for BeamNG, and started to use in my videos. In Blender I've created a plane with a material on top, and extruded the plane into a 3D model.
It turns out that the asset is MAGNETIC? and cars stick to it.

Tbh I say divvy it up between 2 mods. Classic realistic lights and Modern realistic lights. Modern you still have quite a bit that can be added in terms of colors, options, patterns and the such (don't worry about it and keep it for a much later time and just get the basic red white and blue ones done first at your pace and for what vehicles you want to do, just someone who has no skill in anything light related (looks at my flashing lights light patterns)).
If you want you can bring the LED sign and implement it better then the current one just as a idea.
But yeah divvy it up between 2 mods, Classic realistic lights and Modern realistic lights.
