the airbag is a little to hard to work on, the jbeam isnt hard, its the lua with the postbreakdetection thing, and the hydros in the jbeam and getting the detection to detect the actual hydro to inflate the airbag and actually work, hydros is what makes beams exspand, so if i can do that, the air bag will work fine, but then if my jbeam is to high detail in jbeam, the jbeam can just break when the post break detection lua makes the hydro go off, that is one of the issues JsZ had with the air bag mod of his, which is private, he got it to work but making it a little better than just a cube jbeam was harder.
and i need to understand and be able to atleast have a decent understanding in how to write luas.
but i think either way, i need to learn a little more about jbeams with making other smaller mods that require some basic .lua files

like, maybe headlights and tailights that are custom and i can work on the Jbeam, and also maybe add a lua that could work with it, can also help me learn how to texture things alot better

Yeah, and it's really outdated, and at times just dosen't preform well. and then both sounds of it are pretty outdated and don't work well.
i mean there's a lot of mods using outdated sounds though, usually legacy audio or just the default engine sound that every car used to share. i don't think that even scratches the surface of it

Any 3D applications will work if they can export into dae files. otherwise you'll have to export the file into something that can be imported into another application then exported again into a dae

I've been uploading my entire mods folder since 9 in the morning. It's 1:30
anyone here got any experience with air cooled engines in beam? i have pretty much everything figured out from the autobello and the wiki but there's one thing that's missing from the wiki - the air regulator. i can take a guess at what airRegulatorTemperature does (i assume it defines the temp at which the air regulator does something) but im not entirely sure about airRegulatorClosedCoef - is that the efficiency when it's closed? would appreciate some clarification

and yes, it is google drives fault. your ISP wouldn't be throttling your upload speed
bottom line, upload speeds are usually slower anyway. no matter what you use, it's going to take a long time

The guy who created it got banned from the forums, i was working on one but i need a little more exsperiance when it comes to luas so i can get the PostBreak.Lua to work with the Hydros to inflate the Airbag but the requires alot of .Lua editing, so its pretty complicated...
How do I get my mods from a slightly older version of the game to work again? At some point it needed 10GB of free space on my C drive as opposed to where I have the game data stored and I do NOT have that.

0.22 folder should have a "vehicles" folder, all your custom vehicles are in that
the one thats currently your default spawn probably needs to be saved so it shows up in the vehicle selector too

For some vanilla cars, you need to use an online converter to convert the dae to obj. Then, you can import the obj into blender.

How hard would it be to make some custom drive modes? Something like the ETK 800 drift mode
I've been looking at the drive modes .jbeam file, but don't really understand it, for example, this is one of the lines in the drift mode section:

I found configurations of the dampers in the front suspension .jbeam , there indeed was "soft", "normal", and "hard", but the actual phrase "damperMode" was nowhere to be found...
How does the game know what does "damperMode" refer to?
