I... Have an interesting idea that I cannot actually carry out yet. Face-swapping the Wendover facelift onto the LeGran seems like somebody somewhere in this fictional world would do. Similar to people face-swapping the R34 front onto a Stagea in real life.
That sounds like a great idea, it doesn't sound too hard to do. Maybe I'll mess around with blender later to see how it would look
Im looking for 2 things, Truck wheels such as like 20x12, 22x12, 22x14s and wheels like that, also wheel spacers. I have tried the Spaced Out: Wheel Spacers from the Repository, but they do not work in my game.
I have found some wheels that work on trucks, but they are very small.

Hey, was a Pretty easy fix. But I will need to rework the Lua so not the whole game freezes when something is wrong, only my engines and also won't conflict with other mods with Lua.
I already made the file for the soliad. I started to rework the turbo everything mod, but I don't have to much time right now for it, but will add the csr to the mod soon :)
I'mma release the opening doors, trunk and hood mod this weekend. Will release with like 4 cars and then I'll just keep updating it as I add more

and then set the opening hydro beamSpring to something
and then reverse those changes when it's closed

Does anybody know how to convert autosmooth / shade smooth in blender to actual vertex?
i have a 3D model which looks nice with auto smooth data written in the file
but in game looks bad
the game is not beamng
but it looks like that (in-game)
the game doesnt read that data, so i need to convert it to actual vertex (with increased polys) ... is that even possible?
i havent tried it in beamng, because i'm still new to this and i don't know how

In Live for Speed i use XR.vob (this is default car) and just replace the visual body and then i tweak the values of the car using external software.

i want to make a mod that adds chimes, and that prevents u from starting the car unless the brake is pressed (that also means i want to make an acc mode) and that you can only shift into gear while brake is pressed will i need to learn LUA and a scale on 1-10 how difficult will it be?
Lua is a very basic language at it's core, things in the game are built atop it, and to interact with the game, you need to know how these things work
Writing a Lua script for one game is typically going to be a very different experience than writing a Lua script for another

I looked at beamng's repo now and if I downloaded from repo it says in green; "subscribed, you'll get automatic updates" and If I install it manually it doesn't say anything there. So I guess It won't update it?

Well the mod is visible in the mod menu, same place where you can update your mod
Listing a mod is different from the game knowing it's a repo mod a d which one
Each mod coming from the repo got an internal folder with ID codes placed automatically by a bot. That's how the game can know which mod is which
The game also has the option of just remembering the zip file name because they have to be unique lol. There are many ways to know if a user has downloaded a mod and what kind. I have never checked this and for all I know it does auto update them

one tip I have kinda found is if you use notepad++, just grab every lua file in the game and throw it in since you can search them all at once for a func you need

After hours of searching through BeamNG's scripts and testing many different functions, I managed to figure out how to do this ๐
I plan to make it so when you respawn it gives you a completely new paintjob and plate, so it's like you actually went out and bought a vehicle of the same make and model
but say you wrecked your car wouldn't you buy the same car? or at least have the option
lol i misread that at first, it'd definitely be an option, I just would like to be able to feel like it's a new car by using these changes personally. if and when I release the mod, it'll be toggleable

I cant quite figure out why the CVT Sunburst has a 100% Straight acceleration line, makes no sense because with higher speed it should have higher air resistange and rolling resistance. the Cherrier on the other hand has a more aggressive acceleration the faster he goes (because the rpm go up to peak power at 13000 RPM. and the CVT just goes on and on and on
