Hey guys, I could use some help.
I’ve just created a diesel engine for the Bastion, and for now I’m using the stock V6 engine model from the Bastion as a placeholder — otherwise I run into issues with the exhausts not aligning properly.
What I’d like to do is use the I4 Diesel engine model from the ETK series instead, but I have no idea how to properly attach the nodes of that engine to the engine mounts and connect it to the exhaust system in the Bastion.
Anyone that can give me any hints??

the sound i made is my own entirely, made on a music software (the reason why it only goes up to 10.5krpm), don't need to use fmod to create the different rpms, but ye i dont have audacity lol

i want to look at the scintilla's files to see which rpms the devs decided to use, so i can get as much detail as possible

I have a linux mint version of blender, and it doesn't have the ability to import or export .dae files, and with the notation that was next to the options previously, it looks like it's going to be supported less and less.

I can work around it for now, but is there going to be a plugin eventually, or maybe will beamng start supporting other formats? Maybe a .cdae plugin for blender?

it looks like you have already made the material. You may want to give it a more unique name though, then you can change the colour values just below where you're looking here, but you'll have to re-create them in beamng (unless you're talking about making a detailed procedural material, which is a whole lot more complicated). I'd really suggest looking at blender tutorials, one that is considered the quintessential blender tutorial is the doughnut tutorial

okay, once you've finished the doughnut tutorial, then you can move onto importing beamng's materials. You'll want to locate the main.materials.json (or anything *.materials.json depending) that has the material you're looking for, then find the colour image, and convert it to png. Then in blender again, you'll go to the colour part of the material, and tell it to use an image, and select your image. You can also do this for the normal maps, and everything else (though not everything is a 1:1 in the naming convention)
